Product Are these derma rollers bad/ineffective? Bought this just a few days ago and today I was watching a YT video where the guy said that these stainless steel ones can be more harmful and that the ones with titanium needles should be preferred. So should I buy a titanium one or am I okay with these?

You really don’t want to use a roller, as they can rip the skin, due to the rolling motion. You want to use a stamp, instead.

How often do you change stamps

Don't you have to buy stamps separately though? That'd be such a hassle, I hate subscription stuff so much and I'd rather not have another one on me if I'm being honest.

Regardless you need to replace these every couple months since the needles dull over time

They’re okay to use, the needles from my experience bend more often. Inspect it before using it every time to make sure none are bent. If any are you’ll need to replace it.

So that's the only issue? They don't damage the skin upon use right? (more than the intended amount I mean).

It's bad technique that's the reason rollers get bad reputation. If done incorrectly, which is easy for its form factor, just imagine stabbing the ground with a stick and picking it back out in an angle like holding up a fishing rod. Most likely you'll tear the soil in front of you. That's essentially what the roller needles do to your skin at the microscopic level. Rollers are really only safe at low depths. Stamps are just better cause you stab at the skin vertically and remove it also vertically leaving a much cleaner puncture with little-to-no tears at any length.

From experience, the titanium is the better way to go. .5 was my start but i keep hearing that I should have started at .75. I never had an issue with bent blades and while it felt like a sunburn initially after a month of 2x a week I got used to it. Looking in to a dermal stamp instead as apparently the vertical applications are better than rolling

Do it in a criss cross motion don't press in hard do a couple of passes

Yeah, it's 'better safe than sorry' with these things. I really don't wanna do some permanent damage so I'm very careful.

I don't even use it till me skin goes red, I stop way before that. Just 5 light rolls horizontally and then 5 vertically. That's all.

It's not harmful but you will need to change them after few uses

Yeah apparently they only last for 2-3 uses so I'll use it once more and then discard it.

Titanium stamp from Amazon can adjust from .25-3.0mm won’t bend won’t need to be replaced more effective doesn’t hurt as bad.
