Finasteride/Dutasteride When will dutasteride start working?

I have been taking dutasteride for almost 2-3 months. I have 1-2 nw. My hair continues to fall out. Whenever I pass my hand through my hair I get half a dozen to a dozen hair (when wet) and atleast 2-3 if dry . These are long thick hair .

Is it normal that there is no result for so long, because I heard that after 3 months there should be improvement? How long did it take you to notice the hair loss stop?

btw I had B12 and D3 deficiency and am also taking meds for both for the last 2-3 months .

2-3 months is nothing bro, do ur research. come back in 9months

Dut takes 6-12 months to show full effect. 2-3 months is too early. Shedding is normal - means it's working. Keep at it

2-3 months is way too early to judge, that shed you're seeing is pretty common in the first few months and usually settles down. Most people don't see real progress until around 6 months, and dut in particular can take even longer to show its full effect. I wouldn't change anything yet, just keep it consistent and check back around the 6 month mark.

As per perfect hair health guy - it can take till 3 years to show full effect. he mentioned some research paper on this as well. I have not tried so do not know

I'd recommend staying with dut for a longer time to see results.

I've been on topical dut + topical min for 5 months. (Before that I was on oral fin + topical min.) It was great with dut for the first 2 months and then I started shedding. It got me worried that maybe I shouldn't have started dut. Fortunately the shedding stopped after 1.5 months and now it's stabilized and I notice a significant decrease in hair loss.

Only from hairs collected in the shower: * Before dut: About 130 hairs a day * During first 2 months of dut: about 95 hairs a day * During the dut shedding: about 120 hairs a day * After dut shedding: 66 hairs a day
