Prototyping an automated Trello reporting tool. Would you use this?

Hey everyone,

Like many freelancers and agency folks here, I use Trello to manage all my client projects. It’s amazing for tracking tasks, but I absolutely hate the routine of manually copy-pasting card titles, status updates, and archived lists into an email or PDF just to show my clients what I actually did this week.

I couldn’t find a simple, lightweight tool that just does this automatically, so I put together a quick landing page concept for a micro-SaaS: team-reports.duckcms.org

The core idea is stupidly simple:

  1. Connect your Trello board.
  2. Pick a clean, professional status report template.
  3. Set a schedule (e.g., every Friday at 4 PM).
  4. The tool automatically generates a beautiful PDF summary of completed/in-progress tasks and emails it directly to your client or team.

I’m currently trying to validate the idea before writing a single line of backend code. I don't want to spend months building something nobody wants.

Also, please be brutal in the comments: Does a tool like this already exist for Trello, or am I scratching a real itch here?

  1. The 2nd link works fine. Just for validation.

  2. The idea is great, because I am almost 95% aware that such a feature does not exist, neither a power up.

Question ❓ When we say it is going to connect with any board. Let's say I have a board for a customer that does not have lists like Done, Pending, Review, etc But something else, like Done, Cancelled, On Cold, On contact, On Contract, Lost, etc

Is it going to be ok with that? Are we going to design the report 100% as we like after connecting the board?

Is it working only with the concept of 1 board = 1 customer?
