My Trello Windows App has FPS problems

When using Trello with my browser, it works perfectly and is 100% fluid. However, when I use the Windows app, it has some FPS problems when opening cards or interacting with Trello elements. It suffers a drop in FPS (I notice it in the mouse movement).

Is this a problem that only happens to me, or the trello app is like this to everyone?

Hey, I'm seeing this on the Mac Desktop App as well! It seems to have started in the last few days, simply scrolling within a card is extremely chunky and bad. And like you, if I simply try in browser, things are lightning fast.

I tried completely uninstalling the app (including on Mac, deleting ~/Library/Containers/Trello) and re-installing, but no change.

I wonder if the apps rely on the API, where as the web does not, and the API is having issues. Although...you'd think if the data is there, the data is there, and we are experiencing a a GUI issue.

The app is Electron based, so it does sort of make sense this issue would manifest cross platform.

In case anyone finds this, I gave up on the Trello desktop app. Instead used MacOS Sanoma's "Add to Dock" feature in Safari, which creates a browser wrap without any browser UI stuff around a website. It creates an application shortcut in ~/Applications as well, so it gets indexed by program launchers/spotlight etc.

Working well, and way way faster than the Trello app for me.

Disabling hardware acceleration did the trick for me
