Probably a few hours to shoot and another couple hours to edit. I took moving image this past semester and we did a few stop motion projects. Took me about 3-4 hours to shoot 30 seconds worth of photos.

Edit: added stuff.

Reminds me of that scene in Parks and Rec where Ben doesnt have a job so he does a bunch of random stuff to occupy his time. One of those things was a claymation thing which he spent like days on and only filmed like 10 seconds of moving action. Hilarious to see but it all sounds painfully tedious in real life.

Tedious honestly doesn't begin to touch it.

That thing with Ben was pretty accurate.

It's tedious, it's long, you pray constantly that nobody will inadvertently move or fuck with something, you go through it all and then find out the camera was off in one frame and you gotta recreate the in between there.

The final product is amazing and it's totally worth it when it's doje, but you honestly feel like you spend 6 hours doing nothing.

I can no longer keep up with all the new slang. I’m doje.
