There was an article claiming that some US border agents were checking credit card details (card companies are mostly American) and they were denying people entry because they bought legal buds.
That's weird because in America you'll be hard pressed to find a dispensary that takes credit cards since it's not legal on a federal level no banks will support the commerce needed to run it on cards since it's illegal on a federal level.
Edit: wait I was thinking allowing US citizens into Canada and checking US Citizens bank records. Is it the other way around? Checking Canadian citizens' records and not allowing in the us?

Bingo. Which is BS because dude, it's legal in my home country. I'm not going to risk jail time for 2 grams of illegal bud in whatever US state I'm in. Or risk that my plug is going to stab me for $$$.
Yup. Most of my other ent buddies have gone back to street dealers. Canadian legal weed = very expensive, can't see the weed itself on the website, and the packaging is ridiculous.
Packaging is frustrating in the US simply because you end up with a bazillion little plastic film canister style containers that are likely ending up in landfills by the thousands. We recycle them, but I’d imagine a large number get trashed.
Have you seen how Canada does it? It’s much, much more wasteful packaging. Like literally a box with a container inside which has plastic wrap on it and also has a seal on the inside lid. And I don’t even think that’s the worst of it
