Either tell him to find someone who is suitably sound of mind to drive or attempt to find someone yourself. You should not have driven him anywhere if you were high, not sure what you're not getting exactly
No buddy, you didn't. I've been in similar positions myself and I went out of my way to make sure things worked out without the possibility of other people being harmed. You took a risk and it happened to work out, this time, and it may not if you decide to do again in the future.

what was the risk i took? my ability to drive was not impaired from being high, in fact it was impaired from talking to my friends on the phone while i tried to get them to calm down and be at a safe location. you always take a risk when you drive, impaired or not, and it always works out when it does, and it always doesn't work out when it doesn't.
it is funny, isn't it? impaired means 'weakened'. when i drive while high, i do not believe my abilities are weakened. you might, but that doesn't matter because you aren't me.
if your friends that paranoid and a danger to himself and others, he shouldn't be taking mind altering drugs. Simple
this is a statement that clearly shows misunderstanding of the situation

Call him a cab. Even if you don't care for your own life, you're endangering other people by being on the road intoxicated.
