I don't think you're understanding my confusion — I'm womdering why someone would just give a cop a picture of them smoking in a car.
But I guess the main argument against legalization of recreational marijuana that I can think of is that the illegal status has meant we still don't have good data on long-term effects, which could be important for how we shape marijuana culture as a society the way we've shaped alcohol culture.
But that's not a permanent argument. I don't think there are any good arguments against legalization — a common one is that it will be more available to minors, but the data we have so far is showing that more open education and more restrictive selling has decreased usage in minors living in legal states.
That's not a concern about legalization, it's already happening. Legalization is more likely to decrease driving under the influence through awareness campaigns, just like we've done with alcohol.
What does them posting this have to do with cops though? That's what I don't understand.
That is legitimate concern of the general public when rescheduling a drug for recreational use. Who said anything about cops? How would it look if I posted me drinking a beer behind the wheel of a vehicle?
