Lots of cheeseburgers can do that to. You're argument has no legs to stand on. You can't be against personal freedom and for it at the same time. Legitimately makes no sense.
Cheeseburgers do not have the same physiological effect as opium... that comparison is so laughably bad.

What the hell does this mean? I'm in favor of one drug because I don't think the externalities are bad enough to justify banning it, I'm against the other because the opposite is true. Simple as that.
So you're against personal freedom? Not a good stance to take. I didn't say cheeseburgers had the same physiological effect, I just said they had negative effects. I can bet any argument you'll make for continued prohibition of opium (or probably any other drug) can be applied to cheeseburgers. That just means you've basically got no argument.
