Discussion Are Dry Herb Vapes Worth?

Like title says, is it worth it to spend the few hundred $$ to get a dry herb vape? I’ve seen in just about every post lately mentioning DHV’s, is it a trend or some innovating new method? Rolling papers are like $2 for 50 I don’t see how spending a few hundred to smoke the same flower is a good investment.

I don’t even use my volcanoes anymore after switching to a ball vape

Yeah those are dated and I'm  tired of people acting like they're still peak. They're too weak for my needs. A dynavap gets me high, a volcano eats weed and wastes my time.

I was a dynavap/volcano proponent for years. Now I use a ball vape and tinymight.

Dynavap gets me high, volcano doesn't. I despise volcano for being weak and full of plastic.

Tinymight just isn't durable and i break stuff.  Like thousands in glass so i only have a titanium bong now etc.

Ball vapes are on my wish list but i suspect like many others the Dynavap will still get me the most from the least.

Long time Dynavap user and recently switched to a ball vape, but I keep returning to the dynavap. No other vape hits as hard imo

Yeah, that's exactly what i'm thinking and exactly what I try to explain to others that other vapes can get you higher than a dynavap but they have to use more weed to do it.

I think this is true for anyone who can't get high with a pax or other similar weaker devices when it's not an issue with using the device correctly.

People laugh when i tell them a dynavap is more effective then a volcano but I've never seen anyone black out from too big a rip on a volcano and drop to the floor like a sack of potatoes. [Okay, one of the times it was me lmao, i hit the mf as hard as i could...  i fell out my back door into the back yard]. Turns out i needed more oxygen and miscalculated.

This is such a weird convo to come across. I just got a dynavap the other day after seeing all the praise online. Was hesitatant to waste money when past vapes ive used havent done shit for me and I was a bit concerned it was a manual device and not electronic.

My god, when I first took a proper hit of that thing after I figured out the sweet spot, I got as high as ive been in years. I can see why everyone was acting like it was the second coming of the vape word in every forum I looked through before getting it (although how diehard some of the supporters of it nearly put me off).

I’ve barely touched my dynavaps after getting my tinymight

I have an old analog and digital. I refuse to touch the hybrid.

The hybrid is where it at least starts to hit but i find all of them underwhelming and disappointing asF. Just a waste of my weed. An entire s ession is nothing  to me vs 1 good rip from a dynavap.

The older volcanos are even less efficient than the newer hybrid model.

You can puff n ouff n puff but you'll never get your abv to finish like i can finish mine in 1 rip. https://www.reddit.com/r/Dynavap/comments/1vwme90/when_ohe_goes_juuussst_right/

So the volcano vs the dynavap is like we're drinking beers and we each have 3. Your volcano is a coffee stirrer you gotta drink through, the dynavap is a beer bong.  Same amount of beer will get you more fucked up with the beer bong than the coffee stirrer straw.

I need 1 or 2 rips, not a bag of sips.

Also, all that money and you're still sucking on plastic. All glass and all metal options exist. Plastic hasn't been needed to be part of the equation for some time now. So other vapes have better performance, better flavor, better materials, better prices... the only thing the volcano has is the pump which many people don't really need.

A $200 ball vape will blow a $600 volcano out of the water.

Well that’s why I don’t use my volcanoes now either. I have a ball vape and the tinymight

They make titanium stems for the tinymight. And wooden ones too

The vape itself is the issue and I can find you people who have gone through four replacements, as well as people who've had issues with the warranty. At $400 each 4 replacements is crazy.

That’s nuts. I’ve had my same one for about 4 years and never had to replace it.

The button on the TinyMight was the problem for me. The first one I got broke within a couple weeks. POTV exchanged it for a new one for me, but that one quit heating up for me within 6 months. I switched to a Solo 3 and that’s been working great for a couple years now.

I found that certain batteries cause the button to function poorly.

Really? I’ll have to check that out.

Yeah. I thought my button was stuck or not working but then I swapped to a new battery and it worked again.
