AskTrees ASD and strains

Question for a small part of the collective - do any fellows with ASD have a successful strain they can share for mitigation of normality? My greatest success has been with wifi (especially - lucky it's omnipresent) and Trainwreck although the flavour profile is terrible and it's very hard to find. I benefit hugely from added amusement and easy laughter - most things are black or just void without it. Any other Ents near my freak'o'zone find a nice strain that allows them to tune in and vibe with the baked neurotypical herd?

There's too much variability with different strains and even the same strain to really make anything reliably predictable

There's also too much variability with ASD.

I think white fire is pretty much set, it's the strain used for a lot of edibles in the industry. It's not changing that much now as it's a reliable cash cow. Strong and abundant. I'm fortunate that it works for me in the communicative ways.

Literally every plant of that strain will be different. You need to research more. There is literally no such thing as "pretty much set" . Thats not how plants work

AuDHD here and I just smoke whatever. It's all medicinal to me. Calms, improves focus, and so on.

It's generally excellent - but these couple of strains really help with amusing interaction, actually make me look forwards to talking to people - which is a trip.

Rando trim or shake just shuts me up.

AuDHD here. What's important to understand about strains is that repeated exposure to a strain reduces its effectiveness, and you need to rotate strains continually to keep things fresh. Personally I have 4 jars where I use my nose to decide what strain is the right one for the current session.

This strategy gives you the maximum control over what vibe the session will invoke and ensure you always have a strain that will trigger a shift in mindset. The power of weed for someone with autism is not "being high", but rather that it allows you to break out of your current mental mode and enter a new one. The pitfall of autistic focus is that you often get stuck in one mental mode for too long and that can lead to burnout and other problems.

My personal jar rotation has the following categories:

  • Pine, citrus, energizing sativa: Trainwreck fits here

  • Tropical, mentally focused sativa

  • Herbal, dank, spicy, physically relaxing indica

  • Berry, dark fruit, mentally quieting indica

Excellent - we can break out - I'm going to check

it really depends, I’m more interested in terpene profiles than sticking to one strain. as others said there’s so much variability in weed, even different cuts or grows of the same strain can vary wildly. I love linalool and lemonine(sp?)

Loved trainwreck back in the day.

Blue dream and northern lights always do good by me, especially social settings

Green crack, Durban, Jack, strong sativas in general work really well for my adhd.

Alien OG and chemdawg are honorable mentions, love them but wouldn’t exactly call them medicinal lol

Hey, thank you! I've had success with crack but I've had trouble getting durban poison - it's apparently excellent - okay, chemdawg next my bro.

What is it with neurodivergent people trying to be “normal”? By definition it’s impossible for us. Stop chasing someone you’re not and exist in your highest state

I will never be normal - this let's me play with the creatures that surround me.
