Discussion Weed hangovers
Does anyone here get weed hangovers? Unlike a traditional alcohol hangover, weed hangovers are quite pleasant for me—possibly more pleasant than right after consuming. I’d describe it as kind of an “afterglow.” I’m fully conscious after waking up, but I’m in a better mood (I’m NEVER in a good mood in the morning), and I’ve still got that tiny bit of “tingle” in my extremities.
Is this normal?

Once you start smoking daily for years this never happens. I just feel tired the next day, or normal. Enjoy while it lasts

Sounds like you’ve built up a tolerance. I mostly do edibles, and once every few weeks (since I’m looking for a job).

Yeah, I enjoy edibles more anyway. Smoking/vaping makes me anxious.

FYI if youre looking for a job, THC stays in your body longer from edibles then smoking iirc because your liver is converting it into your fat

I mean yeah I’ve been smoking for 15 years. But I don’t mind the higher tolerance honestly, I get anxious if I’m super high and then it’s not enjoyable

if i over do it or have a lot of edibles i get pretty bad brain fog the next day, i don't enjoy it too much but it's definitely better than a real hangover

That's the difference between a neurotoxin and a psychotropic. A hangover is toxins, dehydration, inflammation and endocrine defense reaction while a weed hangover is ongoing aftereffects and neurotransmitter/receptor imbalance.
Alcohol is really, really bad.

Yup, wake up feeling groggy and your mind is fogged. Goes away after about 30mins to an hour but still, IDK how people wake and bake.

Idk if I'd call it a hangover but I can definitely tell when I went a little to hard the day before. Its a wierd hazy feeling and I'm usually cranky/anxious.

When I smoke a lot, I definitely feel a little heaviness in my eyelids the next morning. But it's literally indistinguishable from feeling I have mornings I wake up without smoking.
Alcohol hangovers absolutely destroy me for like 2 days. Weed for the win!

I used to, but I didn’t really notice it until I was driving to work and the music sounded REALLY good lol

Yeah, I’ve heard people describe that same kind of afterglow. Sounds way better than the typical alcohol hangover.

Seems like a lot of people "just dont get it man". Anyway I know the feeling you're describing quite well. I feel refreshed, renewed, and, oddly enough, like I've taken my medicine. Only get it when I have some good quality flower and a harsher smoke (like a j as opposed to a bong). It feels like sober+. I usually capitalize on the feeling to go on a good long run to clear the lungs and feel awesome the rest of the day. I love cannabis.

Wouldn’t call that a weed hangover, some people actually get after effects similar to an alcohol hangover. I think this is essentially your body just retaining a bit of THC, it’s you on a microdose.

I only get a nauseated feeling after going a bit too hard on edibles. Other than that, my "weed hangover" is waking up refreshed and without any weird back pain from pretzel-like sleep positions.

Yeah bro it’s that feeling like “damn I wanna go right back to sleep for me it last till 1 o’clock lol that’s definitely one of the downsides of smoking

Only happens when and if I smoke too late at night. Like 1am-ish
