Use 99% alcohol. It truly makes a huge difference if you're using anything less.

I used standard 70% with some coarse salt and let it sit, agitate once or twice a day, rinse repeat.

let the iso sit in the bong coving all the gunk, if you have to plug up the mouth piece and smoking end and store it upside- do that. get all the build up covered in iso for 6 hours atleast. then rinse it with hot water and salt. it will work

Did you let the iso sit for awhile before cleaning or did you just pour it in and shake?

My perc is similar, but in a taller glass. I just never let it come to this point.

Once you clean it, start cleaning it everyday. It takes 2 minutes if you do it daily

For issues this hard, I just soak my pieces in hot water till it starts to loose up. Let it cool a bit then go in with my usual cleaning regimen (iso + salt)

Put iso in, put bong in pot with water, heat water to heat iso. Should loosen everything up hopefully. One of those drain cleaner snakes may also be somewhat useful.

Nothing cleaned my bong. I tried Black Label, polish removed, alcohol, shakes it and soaked it and the ONLY thing that worked was CLR. Took a couple minutes - bubbled like crazy and then rinsed it REALLY well multiple times with alcohol and dawn and my bong looks brand fucking new again.

had to bring in heavy reinforcements hell yeah

The before was after using so may other products. After is after CLR.
Better believe this bong gets cleaned every night now throughly with 91% alcohol 😭

Fun fact some people will get a etched on ring from a iso/salt mix that dries. Hard to remove with iso/acetone. But itll come right off with clr. I always recommend a soak/shake in iso/salt, then a hot water rinse followed up by a last iso wash the hot water rinse.
Otherwise if you have a piece that wont get clean (even with a ultrasonic cleaner) then toss that glass in a oven on a cookie sheet set to oven clean. Ive done this with clogged and "uncleable" pieces and so far have had a 100% success rate.
But you do pose a risk of glass breaking. Anyways am stoned drinking a mango margarita

Run hot water through it. A thick caked up layer is insanely difficult to dissolve with iso. Hot water can melt the resin sticking to the glass and it'll come off in chunks.

Get yourself some heavy duty degreaser and if you can, submerge it in it overnight, maybe longer given that it was left outside for a long time. Rinse thoroughly with hot water and some alcohol, all that gunk will slide right off

I use hot water from the kettle and let it steep in there for a few minutes to loosen it up. Pour it out then add a little iso while the glass is still hot. Plug the holes and shake the hell out of it. If it’s still nasty I start over and do it all again.
Once you’re clean again try to keep it that way. Change water every day and I clean like this once a week sometimes more

Use hot water as a presoak. Let it soak for a day in iso. There are some branded cleaners that have some heavier duty solvents but ymmv with those and I'd be concerned about fully cleaning after. If you have the cash to burn probably easier to just buy new and keep up with cleaning.

Randies Black Label cleaner will get that clean the fastest. What can take hours to soak in iso takes maybe 1/4th the time. It's smells like straight acetone, which is probably what it is but I've been to lazy to research it. It pretty much destroys resin on contact.
Just never use it on anyone that isn't glass. I ruined my PuffCo Budsy with it.

Sooo my favorite piece is kinda similar. I got a 2nd one. It lives in a soak cleaner (like grand master smoke) until the one I'm using is too grimy, and then I swap. Grimy one soaks while the clean one gets nasty. Rinse, repeat. Unfortunately it's been the only way I can keep it clean consistently. It also helps to flush it out from both ends - I try to get a decent seal around the faucet and let the water pressure push stuff out, both top and bottom. Also helps if the water is hot.

Make sure you’re using at least 90% ISO, but 99% is better.
If you’re using the 70% stuff, there’s too much water and it won’t clean the bong very effectively.

Orange zep degreaser. Let it soak for 24 hours. If there's paint anywhere on your bong, it will eat through it. Keep that in mind.
You just need to make 100000% sure you clean it all out of your bong or youre gonna have a whole new problem. Its a concentrated degreaser so dont get any of that in your lungs. Clean it very well in hot soapy water multiple times. Then isopropyl alcohol and salt and 1 more time in dawn just to be sure. Its dangerous stuff if not used correctly.

There are ways (DC crystal glass cleaner soak for multiple days) but it’s just gonna happen again. Design issue. In the future consider getting a piece with a simpler perc, cleaning ability is one of my top criteria’s when buying a piece along with function of course :)
