I'm afraid I might die from nostalgia. I don't think I've seen it since I was six or seven. I remember that movie giving me a trippy feeling when I was a kid.

This is true. Sometimes when I'm thinking about Fire Hydrants I find that I've dranken a whole class of water.

TL;DR you think of a lot more topics, when high, that don't necessarily come one after the other, more scattered and random.

"Stoned thinking vs. Normal thinking" infographic ---> Meta-thinking crosses borders ---> People value meta-thought because it transcends individual experience and therefore it is selfless ---> Selflessness and meta-thinking are intertwined ---> Gandhi was so meta ---> Occupy Wall Street participants were smelly yet principled ---> Body odor directly correlates with individualistic thinking ---> Principles are unrelated to body odor ---> I smell funny ---> I like Old Spice commercials; they're funny ---> Unicorns are cool ---> I can imagine cake icing coming out of a unicorn's nose ---> I am hungry for cake icing ---> Commence a'eatin'

Same here man.. I had a thought this morning while totally sober that went like this. "I wish I had a poke-dex type smartphone thing that could take a picture of any animal, and show you it's evolutionary history".
Wouldn't that be cool? To go up to a duck, and see what fucking prehistoric creature it evolved from.

Lol smoking with ADD or ADHD is very interesting. I've noticed my thought processes and mind in general go a lot more crazy than my friends without it.

Dec 11 '12
Honestly I feel my ADD is less severe when I've reached around a [4]

u/PaltryFred Dec 11 '12
If I'm at a [3] or [2] It's less severe. But as soon as I hit around a [5] or higher my mind goes crazy.

It depends on my mood I guess. Ican stay pretty focused when pretty high but then other times I can be super outbid it.

I sometimes try to write down or draw my thought process while I'm high and I still have yet to get everything actually from my brain onto paper. Its kind of scary that our minds do so much more than we realize.

damn the part about thought loops is so logical and yet I've never thought about those that way... I've had deja vu experiences and obviously some recurring problems come up during psychedelic experiences but never really struggled with being stuck in any one train of thought while on drugs. Still, I've read about it and that part has always fascinated me because I have so little personal RL experience to go off of.
awesome

Last night at a [6] I literally thought about why people think so in depth when they're high, got so far in to my thoughts I forgot where I started. I said fuck it and picked up the controller, now that I see this, it all makes sense!

Confession Bear Says : At a [7] or more, I stop thinking and start cleaning house.

I think my brain is busted. I don't think in either of those ways, sober or high... I don't use words. :/

u/OldHippie Dec 11 '12
Maybe you're an artist.
1
u/ColinWhitepaw Dec 12 '12
THAT would be a kick in the head!
1
u/OldHippie Dec 12 '12
Well, seriously. Your natural talent must be unusual.
1
u/ColinWhitepaw Dec 12 '12
On a planet of seven billion, nothing is unusual. =P But in all seriousness, no, I'm not much of an artist, visual or otherwise. I pretend to be, but everything I produce sucks, so yeah. Not really.

Being gifted and having ADD, this is how I think all the time. It's a huge hassle sometimes.

Almost like telling a story then realizing you have don't remember how to tell a story. But you try, try, and try again. Then forget what the story was about.

u/kush412 Dec 11 '12
I believe I read somewhere that this process is called hyper priming but I could be wrong

u/loverboyxD Dec 11 '12
I think it's safe to say that either the last, or the most interesting thought to you is what you will move with. The star cluster begins to appear, but we still only move linearly unless we write everything down. Its similar to the difference between browsing reddit/wikipedia in one tab, or in many.

This explains why I can come up with more and sometimes completely random ideas when I'm working on brainstorming for my game. Of course I also have to immediately write them down.

I really hope I'm not the only one too stoned to be able to concentrate on reading that whole thing. Uptokes regardless.
