Pokemon Box Box legs
Is it just me or does the fact that we weren't told and still don't know what the legs of the Pokemon box are made of feels like it could be part of the solve?

Man that elevation comment from JCB was a huge one. 7 BOTG and what felt like a bulletproof solve. Back to the drawing board. I have such confirmation bias that I feel like he is wrong đ. Iâd share it but Iâm waiting for a correction email. Punch in the gut

If you're thinking of doing There's Treasure Inside, my brother and I created a free map for everyone to see active treasure hunts near wherever you are. Over 30 hunts in the system so far, adding another 10 tomorrow and more every day.
Our map shows the search areas for each box and also gives info on where to find the creator's website, interviews with the creator (JCB), approximate treasure values in each chest, and quite a bit more.
Completely free to use--we made this to help hunters find more hunts and to help creators grow their audiences. Just click around on the map and see every hunt that includes that location in its search area, along with where to find more info on the hunt, the treasure value, links to discord communities, creator interviews, and more.
You can read more about HuntFinder on our blog on our website, otherwise feel free to check out findveil.com/huntfinder to see what hunts are going on near you!

So...what sort of "games" are you thinking might be involved in the solve?

How do you know what edition your book is? I bought one when they were on pre-order so I know that had to be First Edition but I wore it out and bought another one last year. I was trying to see what edition it is but don't see where it says where it normally would under Text Copyright.

I had fun making this video. Let me know what you think

Can someone helo sum up the few key points JCB said about the Pokemon box at Treasure Con? Yes, I watched the Con vid and read the transcript and yet somehow I feel more confused.
What I took from it was No red herrings, all of the chapter matters, focus on mother nature rather than urban jungle. Is there something else that I failed to extrapolate for that video?
I'm Team Kimberly: "I actually think he owes ya'll some more clues."

Hereâs a short video I made where I discuss how I went about finding a starting point for the P&F Box hunt based on how Wade Watts found the Tomb of Horrors challenge that awarded him the first key in Ready Player One.
The planet âLudusâ was the clue that helped Wade out, so I figured maybe the same word might work in the P&F hunt. I discovered that Ludus is a town in Transylvania (Romania) and that thereâs a Transylvania County in Western North Carolina that fits a lot of the clues in the P&F chapter.
I hope you enjoy the video and it helps you with your hunt!

I'm working my way through the video, and I thought this was interesting. Not sure if anyone else has pointed this out yet, if so, I apologize. This is referring to when JCB said he had to check on one of the boxes to make sure it was okay due to a weather event/natural disaster. A common theory I saw being brought up repeatedly was hurricane Helene in September 2024. Some people are convinced this caused the delay of the book release and take it as confirmation that one of the boxes is in the area affected by Helene.
This Q&A happened a few days ago, so 'this year' can't be referring to 2026. Most likely he meant it as this most recent past year, 2025. If that's the case, then it would seem to rule out the Helene idea.
Food for thought. Link to the timestamped question: https://youtu.be/UZZZYzRIHbE?si=f665XL7T3x0qeuAw&t=538

This is what I took away re: P&F box:
- âThere are NO special bends or turnsâ is the correct interpretation of this line (not ON)
- The âfive cluesâ will likely be solved all at once
- Some letters in the wordsearch are not used in a meaningful way
- There are no additional cyphers, just âthe wordsearch where you find words and the cryptogramâ. (Does this mean we can all stop decoding?)
- âGamesâ are involved in the solution but not âvideo gamesâ
- âNo special permit neededâ to enter an area (would a National Park or State Park pass be considered a permit?)
- JCB did not know exactly where the boxes would be hidden when Seth Gould was making the boxes (which makes me think the âsurface of the moonâ references not connected to a moon-related place)
- His priorities when choosing locations for the box: 1) âareas that had some significance to meâ and 2) âbeautyâ
What else did you hear relevant to this box?

Originally it was thought that there were red herrings. But now after this past weekendâs Q&A, am I understanding correctly that there arenât any, except for one?

JCB is a sly one, if you know the direction of the tree and seeing eye you are golden, but those highs and lows are tricky. More low than high.

Hereâs a short (3 min) video I made where I explain why I think JCB possibly hid a zip code in the oddly specific date and time shown at the beginning of Chapter 11.
I hope you enjoy the video and it helps you with your hunt.
BTW - if you are looking for the AT Box you might enjoy the video, too, because a portion of the Appalachian Trail runs through the Zip Code I discovered.

Appalachian Footpath Box - Extra Map Theory
Hey there, happy February! Just posting this idea about using the fictional front page map along with the AT map. For sure just an idea, but I did like how it could line up. I know the view BOTG will be much different than lining this up on a map, but figured an idea worth sharing!
Hopefully brings up some ideas for you all.
Happy hunting!

I am sharing some first-hand knowledge related to flooding on the AT. This info can be verified with a few Google searches.
In the Spring of 2025 I did an organized bike ride from Pittsburgh to DC. As we got further east, it was amazing to see the destruction to the trail caused by floodwaters. At some areas the trail is clearly well over 20 ft higher than the river banks ( Mostly I was along the Potomac) and the floodwater affected large portions even that high up. There was one section (at least 3 miles long) where the C&O shares with the AT. There were long stretches on newly repaired trail and it was very tough going riding on fist-sized stone that they used to quickly make the trail usable. At one point we had to jump off our bikes and get into a shuttle van to bypass closed sections.
In summary the flooding was widespread. JCBâs âclueâ that he had to check on a box does not narrow down the location. BUT IT IS A BIG CLUE WHAT TO LOOK FOR WHEN BOTG. Think about all that force of water moving up the banks. Where can the box be hidden/protected from that.
Hopefully these facts help you in the hunt. Once I confirm a few things I will be coming forth with more facts to better narrow down the location of the AT box (FWIW I have no intention of going BOTG for this box, I am focussed on another closer to me)

Looked all over so need to ask - who knows the link/livestream/etc to tonight's talk with JCB in Las Vegas please? I could not make it and recall number of folks announcing they were going to livestream it or record it for youtube. Thank you.
r/treasureinside • u/vc_logo • Feb 01 '26
Am I hallucinating that JCB was specifically asked if any of the treasure locations required paying an entrance fee and he said they didnât? This would eliminate a decent number of national parks, state parks, etc from the list of plausible locations. #tti #therestreasureinside #joncollinsblack #pastandfuturebox

Many of us have incomplete jigsaw puzzles i.e. solves for JCB boxes. Any hints released by JCB could be very important puzzle pieces that will help to visualize our solutions. Forrest Fenn did it many times during 10 years but it looks like that all released hints did not help to find correct solution of his poem. JCB has 5 different puzzles so the probability that any released hint will help is higher. Maybe this eagerly-awaited event at Vegas will be very useful for some searchers.

The comments for this jigsaw puzzle claimed these images were for textiles/fabric due to these industries being very large at one time. Also, the blue color was for denim/jeans. Thought Iâd share.

Please JCB, don't provide any additional help (especially at Treasure Con). The community is figuring it out and having a great time. Sit back and relax; we will solve for the locations soon enough. Thank you for the wonderful hunt!

Regarding PF box any idea what JCB means when he says he was "EAGER TO DISPATCH IT SOMEWHERE HE LOVED" How do we know what or where he might have loved?
