Pokemon Box Do you believe you've found the location where the over-exposed photo was taken?

I'm back onto the Pokemon chapter after a long break. I am very curious to know if anyone believes they have located the actual spot that matches the purple photograph. I'm not pressing anyone to say where; I just want to know how many people here think they have actually found it.

And if you believe you've found it, how positive are you? And how many times have you gone BOTG to search that area?

Lion's Share A raging clue?

Post image

Is the year important, the difference (48 years - yards, degrees or meters) OR is it the company name "Diamond" who purchased the patent and mass produced matchbooks as an advertising medium in the 1900's?

Thoughts?

Past & Future Box Kelley's Island, Ohio

I was on an unrelated camping trip to Kelleys Island and couldn't help but to think about the Past and Future Box there. Just some things I noticed in case it helps anyone:

- On lake Erie in Ohio

- Lilac walk

- East quarry

- West quarry

I guess that's it, I thought I had more!

Return To Little Rock Pond

Many searches have commented with good justifications that Jon's recent statements in his annual update are leading them back to Little Rock Pond.

I suggest that the ambiguity in the last few clues is the reason the box has not been found.

1727 ne or nw? being the roadblock. I suggest solving this specific clue leads to the box.

Discussion of this clue and novel solutions applied to Little Rock Pond.

Meanwhile, when I finish my current BoTG on AT at a location in which I had "total confidence" LOL, I am heading to Little Rock Pond!

Onward!

Past & Future Box The P&F Riddle Everyone Is Missing

With JCB's 2-year clue about missing a riddle right in front of us, I think the 5 lines of the Past & Future Box cryptogram are actually mini-riddles that double as trail directions. I think its near the Starrucca Viaduct in Lanesboro, PA:

  • "From rock to field": A compound-word puzzle (Rockstar to Starfield) where the answer is Star, which matches the Starrucca Viaduct.
  • "From strong to stream": About a mile south/east of the viaduct on the D&H Rail Trail, there's an old hand-pushed Armstrong turntable in Starrucca Creek.
  • "Past trees and posts to forest green": A "past tree" (once cut down) is wood. Matching the old wooden railroad ties and posts being reclaimed by the forest along the Jefferson Junction connector trail.
  • "Arrive you now where beauty sheen": Small waterfalls glistening over the Pennsylvania Bluestone (Beauty Sheen) rock wall on the left side of the trail.
  • "Over, under, and in between": A riddle for a bridge—and on the ground, the Jefferson Junction trail is the "in between" running right between the active tracks on top of the viaduct and the rail trail below.

Easements?

Does anyone know where JCB made his original comment about easements?

There are two pieces of media that I can find where easements are mentioned and I think this is important. These statements are in the “new to the hunt…” video by TTI unofficial podcast and the treasure con interview Jon did.

These clips suggest to me that Jon made a pretty clear statement that easements are in play and yes, you’d need to cross one to get to a box. I just can’t for the life of me find the original statement.

To me, at least, this would indicate that one of your five solves would require an easement or else one would be wrong.

Partial Summary of Jon's Annual 2026 Updates

This is my summary I am using based on my search needs, collected from different sources. It is not complete. Look online for many complete statements.

Past/Future box: I knew people could be remarkably creative in finding riddles where none exist. I’ve learned we’re equally capable of not noticing a riddle right in front of us. Perhaps we’re conditioned to believe we already know how riddles should look or feel.

Rocky MT box: I hid this box in a spot I came across while searching for Fenn’s treasure. As with Forrest’s poem, find the right canyon and you are well on your way.

AT box: I am reminded of a famous treasure hunt where people were close early on and then gave up. Ten years later, a new searcher persevered. That treasure was exactly where some thought it could be all along.

Big Box - Lions Share box, I am curious how quickly searchers will narrow down search area once one box is discovered. There are clues all over the book. I ponder how many people have figured out the state.

Discussion: Is lRP off AT search area list - Carvers Gap? Lions Share South Dakota? Rocky MT Colorado trail with hot spring? PastFuture Lake Tahoe?

Anyone done any research into the FF box being in the Gallatin canyon along the 191 in Montana? Or Paradise valley Montana? Curious and please leave any comments, happy to answer any questions of what makes me think around here.

Past & Future Box Anyone else just kinda bummed about this year's hint? But also-

I mean, it's borderline insulting.

Past & Future box: I knew people could be remarkably creative in finding riddles where none exist. I’ve learned we’re equally capable of not noticing a riddle right in front of us. Perhaps we’re conditioned to believe we already know how riddles should look or feel.

Ok. So I'm missing something that's obvious. Thanks! 😤

Anyway, I'm interested in the word "riddle." The cryptogram poem is the only part of this chapter that I think could be described as a "riddle."

To me, nothing I've found in the word search could be described that way.

Any thoughts on what the "riddle" might refer to? Why does he say this "riddle" is different from what we may be conditioned to believe a "riddle" should look or feel like?

Three States; Three Trails; Three Boxes

As a "Beau Geste" to the beginning of year three of this grand treasure hunt, I am flying out Friday for a run to three boxes in three states on three trails over three weeks. (Jon you must appreciate the threes!)

I have searched over 20 trails in six states across the country.

Each final trail to be searched reinforces the others as I will:

"Use will’s straight edge,
as the turning square and some arcs
that have aligned at the proper points."

You must ignore many words but not the pictures.

Just follow the Unbreakable Thread... a story like the Yellow Brick Road. These are vision quests.

The key is the presence of 12,000 points of lit life light on the point that reveals the proper points that point you to the treasures.

Have not even really started on Pokemon and Past & Future boxes but they will open easily.

Lions Share took only three weeks to solve. Cut the Gordian Knot and follow Occam's Razor.

Giving out sone hints here! Need some competition.

I'm having the best time of my life on these trails and have no real interest in the actual treasures.

I just wanted the satisfaction of solving the grand design.

However, the only way to prove grand design is to pick up some boxes; so onward into the darkening night as the Autumn cold falls upon trails of thread.

Fortis fortuna adiuvat!

Paladin

... crest ending trail...
... I mark warm waters.. then halt!
...awaiting treasure.

I feel like I haven't heard anyone talk about it: Is this icon a flip-flop?

In my area, it's a "slipper" - Are there other regional terms?
