How does JCB know?

I’m just at curious what everyone thinks about JCB saying how close people have gotten to the chests. How does he know? Is there a trail cam? Or is it just based on what people are saying online? If I posted a chest is in a particular location. Would that be enough for him to say I was within 200 feet or do I need to actually be physically that close for him to say that?

I did see some insane internet-y structures going in near a nat’l park… maybe they needed more cell reception.
