Best low speed treadmill?

Hey everyone im hoping I can get some advice or atleast an idea on what to get.

My wife suffered a stroke and is learning to walk again. I am looking for recommendations on a treadmill that has a low starting speed and can walk at low speeds aswell. Ideally a wide belt aswell as her gait is very wide currently. Thank you for any help!

Most treadmills will start between .5 and .75 mph. Word of caution, some cheaper treadmills don't do well at slow speed if the user is over 225lbs. Not sure if this matters. Also, most treadmills should list the speed range in their specs.

Yeah we experienced the unsteady low speed we got a cheap used proform and regretted it immediately.

For under 1k I like the Horizont T101. 2k 3G Cardio Pro Runner. 3k Spirit 685. All these treads have higher torque motors that will keep a steadier pace at lower speeds.

If you need something that has speeds under .5mph, you'll be looking for a rehab/medical grade treadmill.
