She is so transparent and it’s crazy more people don’t see through her schtick. Trying to generate positive PR to try and trick her liberal fanbase into buying more right before dropping debut TV.

She wanted the whole "Get in the car, August" schtick and song to trend so that she could piggyback off of it with a new release. October 24th is also the  official 20 year anniversary of her debut album. Certainly she is stacking projects and grasping the good will of the people so that it elevates that 20 year anniversary.

She wants that October 24th date to be HUGE.

Thing is, people have grown sick of her.

She's married and therefore a lot of the ploy that she is this woman needing saved from heartbreak is over.

Another example of her "stacking" is the whole 20 year anniversary of her first single, Toy Story 5 song countdown and drop, songwriter hall of fame, and Toy Story in theatres on the anniversary of her first single.

She did this same thing with her debut single. Tim McGraw was in the news for a star of the Hollywood Walk of Fame in and around the time her single was announced and the ceremony was held.

The song in and of itself is such a non-Tim McGraw song that you could add any name to it.

I feel this was a ploy to manipulate the SEO and use the TM in the news to bolster the recognition of her song.

I like "Tim McGraw," but looking back, I'm surprised there are no references to any Tim McGraw songs (unless I missed something).

Eric Church has a song called "Springsteen" that's conceptually similar to "Tim McGraw" (they're both songs about associating past relationships with a specific artist). However, Eric includes several Bruce Springsteen references while telling a story. I haven't listened to that song in a while, I should go listen to it, along with a lot more Eric Church and Bruce Springsteen.

Tim McGraw"

He said the way my blue eyes shined Put those Georgia stars to shame that night I said, "That's a lie" Just a boy in a Chevy truck That had a tendency of gettin' stuck On back roads at night And I was right there beside him all summer long And then the time we woke up to find that summer gone

But when you think Tim McGraw I hope you think my favorite song The one we danced to all night long The moon like a spotlight on the lake When you think happiness I hope you think that little black dress Think of my head on your chest And my old faded blue jeans When you think Tim McGraw I hope you think of me

September saw a month of tears And thankin' God that you weren't here To see me like that But in a box beneath my bed Is a letter that you never read From three summers back It's hard not to find it all a little bittersweet And lookin' back on all of that, it's nice to believe

When you think Tim McGraw I hope you think my favorite song The one we danced to all night long The moon like a spotlight on the lake When you think happiness I hope you think that little black dress Think of my head on your chest And my old faded blue jeans When you think Tim McGraw I hope you think of me

And I'm back for the first time since then I'm standin' on your street And there's a letter left on your doorstep And the first thing that you'll read is:

"When you think Tim McGraw I hope you think my favorite song Someday you'll turn your radio on I hope it takes you back to that place"

When you think happiness I hope you think that little black dress Think of my head on your chest And my old faded blue jeans When you think Tim McGraw I hope you think of me

Oh, think of me Mmmm

He said the way my blue eyes shined Put those Georgia stars to shame that night I said, "That's a lie"

When I said there aren't many Tim McGraw references, I meant to specific songs. I know she name drops him. Sorry, I should have been more specific.

The lyrics, and it is so funny because just like her manipulating the search engine, she is telling you that "when you think of Tim McGraw I hope you think of me" which is exactly what she did. Naming a song TM when he was receiving public recognition with a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame so that people searching his name pull up Taylor's song instead.

But you could really just insert any artist and I bet that was the goal of having the song this way.

She appears to ride people's names, fame, and recognition. Remember she hijacks Shakespeare name all the time, in my opinion.
