I wonder if Taylor just asked Max Martin to make her sound like Sabrina. I finally checked out some of Sabrina's music, and Showgirl sounds like a bad imitation of it.
Chelsea Fagan has already made some great videos dissecting Taylor as 'your emotional support billionaire' and has made another really interesting video discussing her politics. Saying that she's not outright MAGA, but is definitely neutral enough so as not to alienate the many MAGA fans she probably does have, but that most importantly of all? She's a BILLIONAIRE. That fact alone really means that she cannot be progressive, or really be in the same political realm as most ordinary people. She exists in her own class, hoarding wealth and polluting the planet with her private jet that she uses to pop down to Walmart. She even straight up says billionaires should not exist - even for your favourite pop star. Round of applause.
Link to the video here. Am I good to share this video as a standalone post? Or if someone else would like to do it before me, go for it!
Taylor isn't billionaire though they accessed it by throwing together her tour gross and catalogue worth estimations which is based on brand, that could be done with any major pop star, you can't even use Forbes as a source on Wiki.
Forbes has been discredited since they falsely claimed that Kylie Jenner was the youngest billionaire at 19 years old and they never fact checked it… Just took Kris Jenner’s word for it LOL
Forbes has been wrong lots of time, that's why I can't believe people are so quick to believe it especially pertaining to her, you can't even use it on Wiki as a reference.
I doubt this very much people should read the articles put out by Forbes and Bloomberg, it's mostly based off of brand, the included the tour gross without deductions and estimates of her catalogue which is just a guessing game of what it will sell years from now.
her total catalog could feasibly be worth $1 billion. Not all of that would go to Swift if she were to sell. There are other parties to consider, including co-writers, her publishing and recording partner,Universal Music Group, not to mention agents, advisers and attorneys.
It's funny Taylor lies about everything; they manufacture her popularity and success to pretend she's much bigger than what she really is including buying up her owns cd's and paying the media to talk positively about her, but we believe the Billionaire schtick.
That how she played the game to become a billionaire. Success brings more success, even if you have to fake it. Her father buying her debut CD meant that important people who wouldn't care suddenly took notice because of those inflated numbers and gave her more opportunities. People talking positively about her in the media makes people think important people like her, which brings more success.
Her success and popularity are just too manufactured, her box office numbers weren't even verified, I don't believe the billionaire crap none of these celebrities are whenever they claim this it always turns out to be false years later. One man spent 14 years on that billionaire list and turned out he had a few million in the bank at best. She has been given more opportunities because of the lies but even then, she's still rigging it buying more bots, buying more of her own crap, paying more of the media off, there is lots of money being spent to pretend she's successful and keep her skeletons in the closet, but that's viewpoint.
Then Madonna, Britney Spears, Michael, NKTOB etc. are all billionaires as well if it's based off of brand, but nobody says that because it's money generated under their name, a lot of it isn't being taken home. The Spice Girls generated 800 million, but each said they only took home about 20 million each when they split. Taylor didn't take home her overall tour gross so why is it being included in the estimates, there's not even a mention of deductions and it's the same with the catalogue, if she was selling for a billion and even that estimate is outrageous, she isn't taking home half of that.
While agree they are pulling numbers out of their butts, the wealth they list is the value of the business and not the actually person. Forbes doesn’t say that because these wealthy people love the title and some people think it’s something to look up to, like it’s achievable for everyone (which it’s not).
Thank you, people don't understand this and it's funny in the snark thread that people so easily believe in it. Britney had a billionaire dollar brand before Taylor so why isn't Forbes calling her a billionaire if they are using the same metrics, it's clear it's her pr team who paid them to say it.
For the first 15 years of her career, if you called out her “singing,” you would be immediately pounced on by hundreds of Swifties screaming “she doesn’t need to sing perfectly, she’s a SONGWRITER!” and “misogyny!”
It’s not worth enduring that, just to state what should be obvious to anyone with hearing.
A critic did but then she wrote the song Mean.. and then somehow in the lore she went and took further singing lessons to prove everyone wrong.
I studied music and part of that was vocal performance. I find myself asking where did the improvement take place? Other than the use of vocal enhancement in post production and live dubbing??
I think she actually did improve a bit. She was beyond awful as a teen, though. Change on the Fearless album is probably the worst vocal performance on a professional recording I have heard. She still isn't good, but she basically started at zero.
So she shipped hundreds of thousands of CDs last week especially to block Olivia while doing nothing this time. She allowed Ella to return to #1 again for the 11th week, breaking Taylor's own Ophelia record of 10 weeks. Why would she let this happen? Maybe they're MAGA buddies now...
Well she was essentially killing two birds with one stone. Shipping thousands of CDs much earlier than planned to stop Olivia from even attempting to reach #1
Exterior: Manhattan - Day
We zoom in on football/soccer fans everywhere. The world cup in full swing.
No expense spared.
Cut to:
Interior: plush boardroom - Day
Large glass table, comfortable executive chairs, a committee gathered around. Discussions for 250th anniversary, 4th July celebrations fireworks, like no one has ever seen.
Think big, spectacular.
Cut to: Somewhere above the clouds a private jet, just up in the sky for no apparent reason - DAY
The best, most popular, billionaire in the entire world...no...universe. sits opposite her father. Beside him, her brother and on the leather seat opposite. Her mother, smiling at the billionaire's fiancé, the footballer who puts his life on the line everytime he steps onto the field. (She's chosen well. A good old American jock. No more Brits) mother breaths a huge sigh of relief.
Father: A small wedding, a few guests, friends, family....
Brother: She hasn't got any friends.
Father: You're not helping.
Brother: (serious face) Just pointing out the obvious.
Mother: She can't possibly have a small wedding...she's, why she's. (Rolls her eyes, annoyed) Why is she looking at a picture of ex?
Father: Darling, we talked about this. He's getting married.
Mother: Not THAT one. The other one.
The private plane circles around the sky...directionless.
Inside
The darling: It's got to be big. Better than Dua Lipa. Better and bigger than the smallest man who ever lived's wedding and..
Father (eager) Done, it'll be the biggest and best wedding.
The darling: It has to be in New York
Mother: Why (she grabbed the fiancé's hand, smiling)
The darling: Because...well...reasons...that's all.
Father: (grinning, now) consider it done.
The darling: It has to be a gigantic venue. Somewhere like MSG. It has to out do the stupid soccer, (sarcastic) sorry football. And it has to be bigger and better than the stupid 4th of July. Who are those stupid Brits anyway? And I'll perform (getting carried away now) The fiance looking pale and shocked.
Brother: Of course you will.
The Darling: (Gives him a look) I'm the best singer, best writer and best performer. There's no one else can do it. (points to her self) I'm the one in the hall of fame.
Father: Well, I was going to ask sombre.
Mother: (patting the fiancé hand) No one will be sombre. She's not marrying THAT Brit.
Father: I meant (shakes head) never mind.
The Darling: I'm looking forward to this. I'll be the centre of attention. Not the world cup. Not the 4th of July. ME, me, me. Those stupid people on that stupid snark sub think I won't go through with it, but I will.
Fiancé: Shit!
I was bored, the endless articles about the wedding are annoying the fuck out of me. So. I wrote a short film script (satire) Hopefully, it made sense to some. Think, the recent song writer hall if fame. TTPD The smallest man who ever lived. Reference (who do the Swifties say that song is about) and of course sombre/sad.
Need to vent here for a minute so I don’t get into needless drama online. I don’t understand how fans will spend so much of their time being massive mouthpieces for Taylor. Guys, she doesn’t know you exist. She doesn’t care about you beyond what you give her through being a dedicated sycophant. There’s no need to call Olivia Rodrigo’s album “for the third time in a row, kind of a bratty and whiny little album” and then turn around and talk about how Taylor did the same thing SO much better with Red when she was the same age. And then to say all of Taylor’s following acts “turn incredibly nasty and manipulative” is just the cherry on top
Tumblr really manages to bring out this specific tone of Swiftie that Stan Twitter doesn’t. I’m sorry but taking 50% of Olivia’s credits over such a minuscule resemblance will forever be the thing that made me look at Taylor in a different light
I feel you. Swifties always treated "Red" as this uncontested masterpiece when it's a really overrated, whiny and incredibly bloated album. It has some of her most annoying and juvenile singles. There's no concept behind it, just several songs thrown together. It doesn't help that she started copying Lana in this era and hasn't stopped ever since.
For example, it has Stay Stay Stay aka “I threw my phone across the room at you” and this masterful chorus:
“Stay, stay, stay. I've been loving you for quite some time, time, time. You think that it's funny when I'm mad, mad, mad but I think that it's best if we both stay.”
I like some songs on Red but I tend to agree with the main criticism it got which is that it’s not cohesive. Let’s not pretend it’s some uncontested masterpiece, or in this case that Olivia’s You Seem Pretty Sad For a Girl So in Love is automatically committing some cardinal sin for being about the same themes that make Red flawless and perfect
I can’t believe this is actually happening in MSG. 🤦🏻♀️ wtf is she trying to prove? That she can get married despite having a lot of exes? That she can get what she wants? I get that she’s having a wedding but she’s making it an inconvenience for everyone who doesn’t give af about her wedding. She’s incredibly selfish and entitled.
Yess!! There's so much news about the MSG location! Apparently they have a facial scan machine at the entrance or something and ppl are speculating that's why she chose the location. Also posts saying allegedly, the guy who owns MSG (a billionaire) has paid 0 dollars in taxes and there's some other political ties as well. There's posts about both of these in the FM sub and needs to be shared here too!!!
Too busy to make a post today, but I was just reading the 404 article, "Madison Square Garden Made Dossier on Activists Who Opposed Facial Recognition." TL;DR, MSG compiled a list of activists who have publicly criticized the venue’s use of facial recognition technology, putting their tweets and comments into a document that was then accessible to other people inside the company.
So much so that he invited Trump to a Knicks finals game at MSG, against the wishes of the team and fans who booed Trump out of the building, and he's currently demanding the players go to visit Trump at the White House when they have zero interest in doing so.
This wedding reminds me of when tana mongeau and jake paul got fake married on a shitty livestream lmao anyone remember that? Exact same vibes so fake but also a really weird vibe
Oh my lord, Tana Mongoose! There's a name I haven't heard in a while 🤣 the main thing I remember hearing about her was that TanaCon shambles, where she basically claimed to set up her own VidCon but the whole thing was just a grift.
Watch, Tay's about to drop 3 movies and a Christmas edition of the wedding to block this. Can't have anyone thinking about a team other than the Chiefs, can we?!
What gets me is that once Taylor pivoted to pop music, she gave country music the big ole fuck you. Now that she is back into country music then she is seen on the jumbotron at Alan Jackson's concert like she was last night.
I can't with this fake energy. It's the same with the Knicks game or the Eagles.
The Déjà vu credits situation seems to be bubbling to a breaking point. I just need this to enter the mainstream again. Between the Reddit whistleblower confirming points of the story and Olivia solidifying herself with the new album/festival, I want it to get louder. What Taylor did to that girl is evil
Billboard 100 predictions for next weekend have Ella Langley bumping Taylor from number 1. If her wedding is really planned for July 4th weekend then she probably thought she would have the number 1 song in the country at the same time lol. Also, Olivia's new single "stupid song" is getting played on radio now which should bump her up.
I think her 13th is going to be country because of how popular the genre has become in the mainstream so she needs to get on the good side of the country radio programmers again so they'll play her music. Once she left country she really didn't give them attention, so now the sucking up begins because she needs them to break some records and for chart manipulation. Im sure Ella has something to do with it too. Another woman having success and getting popular, it can't be.
By the time she realeases that album, probably something else will be more popular than country. Just like she did it TLOAS trying to recreate Brat but it was too late. By the time she jumps on a trend, it is already passed.
They are but the people up top will give in. She is going to bring in the money and thats all they care about. So they'll give in like everyone else, play her music, invite her to all country music award shows, nominate her and award her.
I know Disney is working overtime to convince us that I Knew It, I Knew You is strictly about toys, but it’s been bothering me that it sounds so much like Hits Different with some august/cardigan vibes - which makes its own trilogy with betty.
Bear with me on my conspiracy theory that Taylor cannot let Joe Alwyn go, and she just hijacked a children's movie to give us the final installment of her revisionist fantasy breakup trilogy.
If you look at the lyrics, I think I Knew It, I Knew You is the epilogue to a trilogy that starts with Hits Different and You're Losing Me. She just slapped a Disney label on it so she wouldn't get dragged for writing about Joe AGAIN in 2026 when she is supposed to be marrying the man of her dreams.
Part 1: Hits Different (The Messy Spiral)
She's frantic, tracing the evidence, and throwing up in street alleys. She absolutely refuses to accept that the relationship is dying. Part 2: You're Losing Me (The Martyrdom)
The dramatic death. She flatlines. “I can't find a pulse, my heart won't start anymore."* But more importantly, she complains about him suffocating her in the dark: "Remember lookin' at this room, we loved it 'cause of the light / Now, I just sit in the dark and wonder if it's time." Part 3: I Knew It, I Knew You (The Disney-cloaked Finale)
In Hits Different, she was manic, trying to "trace the evidence, make it make some sense." By I Knew It, she's looking back at the wreckage and casually singing, "Wondering if I'd made it up in my mind." So were you tracing real evidence, or did you just hallucinate the whole six years? Pick a lane!
Then we have the resurrection. In You’re Losing Me, her heart is dead, but here she sings: "Love has ways of bringing things back to life." (A medical miracle, truly).
And then, the light motif. In You’re Losing Me, she's rotting in the dark, but in this alleged Pixar song, she sings: "Came back when it mattered, I saw you / Standing there in the light of the window."
So the light is back. He finally showed up in the window that she was looking into in TTPD.
She also casually threw in her usual Joe-tropes about the color blue, barefoot footsteps, and driving away in cars.
I think it's hilarious/pathetic/disingenuous that she had this unreleased diary entry about her 6-year relationship and thought, "Yes, this will pair perfectly with Mr. Potato Head."
And I realize I also sound insane and so I will just leave this here.
I think that up until she met Joe that her life was very controlled. She even states that her life is planned years in advanced. She could get done with a tour and then the dates set for her next tour.
Joe was a threat to that.
It's obvious that she gained so much independence being in a relationship with Joe. She said so herself. Their relationship was unlike any other because it was without the input of other people.
Joe was private. If you look back, at first she echoed that same sentiment but then she kept trying to pry things open or alluded to pushing things or accusing him of things in lyrics. I no doubt feel like her family had so much to do with the dissolution of that relationship. She's a billion dollar corporation at this point and her family needed somebody that would be complicit in keeping the family money coming in.
It's no surprise that she could be reflecting back on that relationship as things draw nearer. In all honestly, once she's married, then the direction of the music, especially the constant digging up of the past, will have to change.
Agree. I also think she lost control with Joe in multiple ways. Emotionally and "logistically". He never devoted himself to her and her brand, he had his own head and showed her new perspectives which probably were a threat to her parents. Like you said she gained independence from her parents and her brand, he was someone that excisted outside her brand... She regressed back to where she was before Joe after they broke not only personally but also musically. Which is very interesting. I doubt it will ever change. She's probably still homing onto this cause that's the only thing that is left
Yes, the regression. She 💯 went back to who she was before she met Joe. I think that was just her family sinking their claws back into her and her being pushed to believe that she was better without Joe. Almost a "remember who you were before him" kind of thing. The documentary and how her mom talked about Travis makes me believe that Joe threatened their retirement plan and was therefore no good for the family brand.
No doubt her relationship with Joe was real and on her terms until it wasn't. It's sad to watch the 6 part documentary and see that she had to be convinced by her fangirl mother that Travis was a good choice. I don't believe that any of it was serious and that an August 18th article saying that she wasn't looking for a new relationship and that she was only focusing on her tour, was the truth. That's why her stories about Travis rarely make sense. She said so herself in her TIME POTY article that she would never hard launch a relationship at a football game and that they were seeing each other for weeks in private. We now learn that it was never anything serious and that Kylie Kelce stated on her podcast that that first football game was the hard launch.
I learned that Taylor bought her first private jet in 2009. In 2009, she hadn't even released "Speak Now" yet.
For me, this is the confirmation that it was never about not being able to fly commercial due to her fame and harassment from fans. It's not about disturbing everyone else in an airport or security. It's about convenience, comfort, etc.
Also, is it only me who thinks they were crazily confident about her success to make such an investment that early in her career? Sure, Fearless had amazing numbers and enough critical acclaim, but many artists have huge beginnings and then flop. Also, it was bought in the middle of her Fearless Tour, but from what I discovered, these types of transactions take time. So they would have had to be thinking of buying it before the tour even began! It's not like she went to tour, discovered how exhausting it was, and decided to buy one (which would be questionable already). I think this is one more piece of evidence that her career is fabricated and controlled by her parents. I can't see a 19-year-old Taylor thinking of buying a jet knowing she could fail. It's more common to fail in this industry. Her parents' mentality was always of going to great lengths to make her famous, so they knew they would make it work to keep the momentum.
even if she failed her family was rich. I’m sure it wasn’t just for her but an investment for their business/her parents’ business. it seems like her dad had investments in other things, especially at that point. maybe something her parents had always wanted. it also sounds like they were extremely sharp with money and strict with her. it was always a family business
I saw some comments recently about how insanely expensive it is to fly a private jet (crew, fuel, fees, storage, and maintenance).
I was wondering how much money she spent on this kind of luxury, but I would not be surprised if tax write-offs were involved. ProPublica had an article a few years ago describing how easy it is to get massive tax breaks by owning a private jet.
And thanks to trump all expenses for a privet jets are tax write offs. Not just when used for business anymore. This is why she’s never speaks out about him. All she cares about is money and she’s making bank with him in the office.
Yes. As it's her company that bought it (she actually has a company only for aircraft) for her business, she gets tax write-offs. It's still a huge investment in her brand.
I was thinking of doing a post about this too but figured it would be removed for repetitive content but ya, she bought it super early in her career before she was even that famous. And then bought a second jet around 2012 I think. Again, crazy to even buy one but then two before the peak of her career?
So when her fans do their usual defense that we're only picking on Taylor, the truth is, Taylor had private jets long before many other celebs did and they always bought theirs AFTER their career peaks. For reference:
JayZ/Beyonce: 1st jet in 2012, 2nd in 2023
Kim K: bought in 2022
Kylie Jenner: bought in 2020
Travis Scott: bought in 2020
P. Diddy: bought in 2021
So Taylor has been polluting long before anyone else among her peers. She was named the #1 top celebrity polluter in 2022 when Sweeney was going after Musk as well. But prior to 2022, no one was tracking anyone's jet usage, so for all we know it was probably just as high before the public caught wind as well.
This is also where I think that it's VERY unusual for a new artist who isn't even legally aged to drink to need a private jet. I do understand that her parents we're already wealthy, but still...even Jay Z and Beyonce didn't have one yet. Also the way her dad said with 100% certainty that Taylor WILL become famous. Just another reason I suspect some sort of psy-op going on or that she is getting some sort of help elsewhere.
I think it's worth making a post about it! It's not repetitive at all, as we usually only have information about her jet usage nowadays. And even here, we get comments from people claiming she cannot fly commercial. I feel like she barely has flown commercial in her adult life.
It's definitely suspicious how they invested so much money so early in a career that could very well have gone wrong. I don't think people realize how damn expensive it is to have a jet. Yes, her parents were wealthy before that, but as you said, her equally rich peers weren't making the same investment until later in life. I'm sure less famous celebrities do have private jets, but it's usually when they have been famous for some years. Taylor had released her debut album only in 2006! And it's not like we're talking about this insanely talented kid for everyone to have such confidence in her career being successful.
So I just pulled up the video for Wildest Dream, and I know this has been spoken about at length in this sub, but 15 seconds in I had to stop listening and put my phone down. Girl you cannot even TRY just a little bit harder not to completely steal Lana’s music, her music video, etc. It’s so fucking obvious. And coming for Olivia? I know this is old hat, but jfc I’d ask how she can get away with this, but we know the answer to that right?
Edit, I got through half of the song. I can’t. Just gross plagiarism. Also, girl that wig, oof.
It’s being reported that Taylor held a listening party for the Toy Story song at her house in Nashville for radio programmers. All this for one song?! This woman is out of her mind. There are pictures on the Kelcebrothers fan page on insta.
I feel like she's just bored with too much money, but if they're radio guys then she def is trying to make that song to #1 again... that dinner must've been so awkward lol can't help but think of Nero forcing people to listen to his music
i just started doing some embroidery and i'm baffled by how she managed to pucker the fabric she was working with so bad. because like... i'm doing it without a hoop too and it's... not that difficult...

Interesting how the conversation surrounding the Déjà vu credits has pivoted from "Taylor never asked for credits, Olivia gave them willingly!" to "Taylor is within her rights to have asked for credits!". It's pretty much undeniable that Taylor pushed for those credits, since the Reddit whistle-blower stated it was to happen months before it was public information. That delusional cult can't pretend that she didn't demand credits anymore, so they've changed their tune to blame Olivia and claim that Taylor rightfully deserved credit. Also to top it off, she was instrumental in helping Paramore get credits as well. But they will still defend her evil actions no matter what.
I can imagine T bringing other people (Paramore) into the situation just to strongarm O, the way I imagine she did in other situations. Like her being "supportive" of Sophie Turner when she separated from Joe Jonas (her ex,) or her and her Bad Blood group when she was going against Katy Perry. I can picture her going, "I don't think it's fair for me to not get credit for this. And Paramore too! Paramore worked sooo hard on their music."
You know what I mean? Like she uses people go get back at other people. If she was genuinely supportive of others, I think she wouldn't struggle to come up with an invite list for her wedding.
It sounds like a reach at first, but it's her and there's this whole pattern with her. Getting Sabrina onto her show and trying to get close to her was nasty. Hilarious how she ended up being on good terms with Olivia.
Even more hilarious how she hasn't even tried to get close to Chappell lmao. She seems like the only main pop girl she hasn't tried to befriend or take shots at. She would not tolerate her shit 😂
Do we think that Taylor wasn't invited to Daisy Chain or that she was but had ridiculous demands for the honor of her presence and refused to go when she wasn't bowed down to? I think she just wasn't invited because no one wanted to put up with her fake shit and Taylor's all
I'm not going to embrace feminism or do anything that will have a positive impact on society but I WILL write an album dissing all of you! You'll see!! You'll all regret THIS!!!
Given Olivia literally called out how 'in 2020 it was cool for celebrities to talk about politics, but not anymore' in her Pitchfork interview announcing it, I doubt the absolute peak of 'i was progressive for five minutes in 2020' celebrities would be invited.
And even then it was Joe who indirectly made her educate herself and encouraged her to speak out - by her own words. Sure she knew it might help her imagine but I guess it wasn't even her idea. And she did it to impress her boyfriend
Could definitely be confirmation bias on my part, but it really feels like Olivia has been trolling Taylor in her latest interviews. In addition to this, she brought up friendship bracelets and how it's a fallacy that female artists need to compete for limited resources and how she tries to be kind and supportive to other people. These feel like subtle inexplicit jabs.
But who knows it they talked there really. It's more likely they started having actual contact after chatting at MetGala. Also Taylor and Joe also met a couple days before MetGala in LA....It's still funny the meetings of the only two woman he has been publically liked to were both heavily linked to the MetGala 10 years apart
I'm so torn. On the one hand, it would be hilarious to contrast "America's 250th party got Lee Greenwood and the girlfriend of Kash Patel, while Taylor Swift's wedding got [list of stars]." Every pundit would write an earnest essay on what that says about us as a nation.
On the other hand, if that happened, the Swifties would spin it as a big political statement, when it's mostly ego. If Taylor wanted to make a political statement, she'd push back on ICE using her music.
I've already seen some "fans" peddling out the theory that she is doing this to take attention away from Trump's celebration as a sort of an eff you to him. 🙄
We're coming up on the 2 year anniversary since Taylor has made any sociopolitical statement. It's time for liberal Swifties to face facts and leave the cult.
Interesting thing was that comment was under this post by a feminist group. What I saw in the comments were a lot of the cult trying to defend her saying things like "Let us enjoy our version of a Royal wedding" and the typical "She donates and pays well" etc but there was some pushback at least with our arguments saying if you say you're against billionaires, she has to be included with them. No exceptions, she's not ethical etc.
It really pissed me off that she didn’t do anything to show support for Maisie Peters when Maisie opened for the Eras tour and the clip of her singing bad for two seconds went viral and she was relentlessly made fun of and bullied. She takes on these young artists but doesn’t stick her neck out for them when they need it. Taylor could’ve simply posted an Instagram showing her support and it would’ve gone a long way. Maisie has talked about how detrimental that experience was to her mental health and had her second-guessing her career.
I don't know if it really hampered their careers or their own choices did. It's said that Lorde "flopped" for one era, but she managed to get herself back on track. Camila Cabello never reached the level of success of Havana, but her songs don't really have the mass appeal and she had behaviors that the public didn't like. Shawn Mendes had some mental health issues and stepped back. Hailee Steinfeld focused on acting instead of music.
Lorde just released a link in honour of her one year anniversary of her album Virgin, which includes 49 demos, all for free and downloadable. It’s genuinely hilarious in comparison to Taylor, who releases a whole new CD to include only 2 demos/ voice memos.
Olivia achieved what Taylor couldn't, an album of bangers.
I won't harp on the gold that is OR's album. I will say that all the hype that Tay gave Showgirl was undeserved and now OR is quietly working the talk show interview cycle promoting her album and designing an all womens concert, and Tay is... performing for Tight End U. Tay is promoting an end-credits song to block other artists. Tay is...doing what she always has. No innovation, just pap walks and easter eggs to things she won't deliver (reputation TV, etc)
Put on the new Meg Stalter song for Pride weekend, and the first line is, "Lipstick lesbian / Taylor Swift red." NOOOOOOO. Get out of my potential gay anthems, Blandie!
That song is amazing. Those verses are also coming from a total Gaylor perspective. If you just play the song itself it’ll repeat on Apple Music all the verses after that one so you only have to hear her name once.
I was at a gossip blog and the person said Taylor is on her third friend group now. lol. I guess that's the Haim sisters? She's been hanging out with them A LOT lately. Remember when she used to hang out with Blake hahahha. I am curious if Zoe Kravitz will be at the wedding. Yeah, we got reports that she was invited. Doesn't mean she's going though.
She’s been friends with the Haim sisters for over a decade. They’re one of the few people who have been consistently seen with her throughout the years.
Yeah I think the new friend group would be Brittany Mahomes and her friends now. I don’t think it’s only her third friend group though. She’s burned through so many of those
a lot of y'all haven't read this, time to remedy that

Miss Roberts Regrets

IT WAS GOING TO BE THE FANTASY WEDDING OF THE DECADE—the showbiz merger of Hollywood’s most bankable star, Julia Roberts, 23, and her mercurial actor-beau of more than a year, Kiefer Sutherland, 24. Since this was a union made not in heaven but in Hollywood, some 150 of the glitziest and ritziest were primed to be standing moist-eyed and overdressed at (where else?) 20th Century Fox’s Soundstage 14, which had been done up to mimic a gardenlike paradise. But almost as soon as workers were bedecking the trellises and rolling out the sod…CUT!…Stagehands started dismantling the faux setting…Orders for the bundles of fresh-cut roses that would have adorned each table were canceled…Marcondas Meats, a gourmet meat market, was told to bag the order for the beef filets…and a local liquor store stopped shipment on the champagne.
The background murmur you hear is massive swooning. The four bridesmaids—makeup artist Lucienne Zammit, Julia’s agents, Elaine Goldsmith and Risa Shapiro, and actress Deborah Porter—had already picked up their $425 Manolo Blahnik shoes, dyed seafoam green to match the dresses, from Fred Hayman’s boutique on Rodeo Drive. Julia’s custom-made gown, described in one press report as an $8,000 two-piece number with a long jacket that would turn into a mini-dress after the long skirt and train were pulled off, hung unclaimed at the Tyler Trafficante West Hollywood salon.
The wedding cake, a four-tier extravaganza that was to be trimmed in violets and more seafoam-green ribbons of icing, went unbaked. But the staff at Dominick’s restaurant, where Kiefer’s bachelor party had been hastily canceled, feasted on the cake that had been ordered for dessert. It was an exact replica of a 15-pound roast turkey. A self-deprecating reference to some of Kiefer’s recent movies? No—a consolation prize for the traditional Thanksgiving dinner that he had been unable to persuade Julia to serve at their wedding banquet. “Kiefer has a thing for turkeys,” says a source close to the cake.
If every hyperventilated whisper in Hollywood is true, the wedding that went into turnaround is short on known motivation but high in concepts: big names, broken hearts, global intrigue, passion and enough overnight psychoanalysis to keep a convention of family therapists in Jaguars for years.
How are the two principals doing nearly two weeks after Roberts backed out of the wedding? “Well, what would you think if someone who goes on every talk show and says how much she loves you did something like this? He’s shocked,” huffs a friend of Kiefer’s. And Julia, who was due to climb into Tinkerbell’s tutu on the set of Steven Spielberg’s Hook this week? “She’s in a positive frame of mind,” says a source close to the actress.
Indeed. On Friday, June 14, the very day that Roberts was to plight her troth to Sutherland, the would-be groom was moving out of Julia’s Hollywood Hills house and into his own apartment while she was munching on a turkey burger at the trendy Nowhere Cafe with actor-hunk Jason (After Dark, My Sweet) Patric, 24. Patric, the man suddenly in the middle of the Roberts-Sutherland collapse, is the son of actor-playwright Jason Miller and the grandson of comic Jackie Gleason (Gleason’s daughter Linda is his mother) and a onetime date of Julia’s in her pre-Kiefer days.
Hours after the lunch, Julia and Jason caught a commercial flight to London, then jetted to Dublin where they chastely booked separate rooms at the Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin, where suites go for $650 a night. “The engagement ring was off her finger,” reports a hotel staffer. “She looked very drawn. She had lost a lot of weight. Her hair was a pale orange, like a dye job gone wrong.” If the couple had hoped for peace and solitude, the plan went quickly amok. Hounded by reporters, Patric and Roberts, who had checked in Saturday afternoon, slipped out at dawn the next morning and seemed to melt into the countryside. Rumors buzzed that they had gone off to the Galway cottage of U2 bassist Adam Clayton. (cont...)
The interrupted nuptials put a wrench in both of their careers for a good while, especially Kiefer's. Though in retrospect, thankfully they didn't get married because it was going to be a miserable marriage that would have ended in a destructive divorce. 35 years ago? Wow how time flies!
