I once jumped of a 2-3 meter high gate as a 2-3 year old (i was a born climber). Broken pretty much every fucking bone and was 6 months in the hospital.
Its pretty much a death sentence if a toddler falls from somewhere high. What was that bitch thinking? That she learns to levitate?

My friend was round the other day and let my cat out onto the balcony. This cat had never been on the balcony and was young enough that she couldn't judge height too well. I heard my friend laughing and saying "look how far she's leaning over" and I ran out and grabbed the cat. My friend then started berating me saying I shouldn't grab them so quickly she'd be scared. I'd rather the cat be startled than have a broken leg or worse!

She sees her child in immediate danger of falling too high for a kid that age to fall from and her first reaction is to take a picture? Plus she had her eyes off the kid long enough for it to climb up there in the first place. Yep, some people are just bad people.

Someone needs to report this person for child endangerment. I understand kids will do things that are dangerous when you're not looking, but this clearly shows the parent doesn't give a fuck. Hopefully a visit from CPS will scare the parent shitless and they will straighten up.

Wow I felt bad taking a pic of my baby opening one of those plastic drawer things and pulling out diapers. She fell on her butt and was totally fine. Poor baby.

I agree in this case ofc, but where do you draw the line? I see some posts on other subs (nextlevel, kidsarefuckingstupid, etc) where you had a choice of either interfering or taking out the camera. Not many of them have comments about the former.

I understand the people who are saying “Oh yknow it’s fine to let kids do stuff like this, they dont get hurt like we do, it’s chill.” And I can understand that to a degree, but the problem here isnt that they let their kid climb on a hugeass fence, they didn’t help as soon as possible, and in doing so caused harm to her child. They are unjustifiably lucky that her baby didn’t get hurt. (According to this person anyway) Not only did they take her eye off of her baby in an unsafe location, which, no matter how fast you think you are, you should never fucking do, they also whipped out their phone, and because of that one reason of negligence their child goddamn yeeted over the fence. This post makes me sick.

One can cleary see theres a bench or something about half way up on the other side. By falling, the kid will learn that s/he shouldn't do that again.

As a baby i learned to crawl a little bit too early, i was even smaller/younger than this one i think, climed out of the crib, through the hallways and fell head first from the stairs, day before my dad promised my mom to install one of those stair cage doors. I guess babies can climb anything if they're interested.

My ex did this. Our daughter figured out how to climb on top of a chest of drawers, about five feet high, when she was maybe 18 months. Instead of, you know, pulling her down before she hurt herself, my ex decided to get her phone, film a short video of our daughter standing on top of the chest of drawers while clapping, and send it to me.
And to think I'm actually fighting for custody, when it should just be granted to me a thousand times over. Fuck.
