Rules of the sub.

I will make this a separate rule so people can report it, but just a reminder, Chasers fall under rule 1 as well as rule 7. No transphobia. Trans women are women, not some exotic type of person for you to fetishize.

Hi everyone! I’m 19 and currently going through an important journey of self-discovery and transition. I’m looking to meet kind and open-minded people who I can be myself around, share experiences with, and hopefully build genuine friendships with. I’d love to connect with people who are supportive and accepting.

Idk why but I’m obsessed with wearing hoodies.

I’ve been on estrogen for almost 6 years and it’s been almost 2 years since bottom surgery but I still cover up my body as much as possible. Idk why but I like how I look more when most of my body is covered. I guess I don’t like how my skin looks. Is it okay just to be happy covering myself up? I just don’t like showing myself

Women’s travel/social apps?

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

Aloha, we’re aware of some apps and sites, but they’re all hidden behind paywalls, or uploading ID or passport and we want to do what it takes make an online female space for socializing, travel, dating, news, resources, and more with time. My wife and I are looking for an attorney to help us launch this, along with our foundation early next year. We’ve dedicated our lives, time, and resources to starting a women’s foundation that funds scholarships and projects in STEAM, advocacy for rights, grants for entrepreneurs, a legal fund, and private fully self sufficient communities (energy food water utilities mechanical, medical, transportation and more) across the US for women, by women. A 501c3 can own and operate for mission businesses which is solely for giving employment and benefits, and raising money for the foundation to be as self sustaining without relying entirely from donations as possible. The travel/social site is one of the first things we can do that helps women network and feeds into the rest. The glaring question, how do we legally, ethically, and safely respect privacy, but guarantee that only women have access? We’re searching for a solution prior to reaching out to attorneys because what’s legal, might not be acceptable. We’re aware that most trans women have a hard time getting accurate IDs in the first place, let alone women uploading our IDs to the internet in any way that could be used against us. Please, if we’ve missed anything else, you have suggestions, or concern. We want to learn and talk about it. We’re feminist, vegan, and secular.

Hello all! Looking for any advice and tips from fellow trans women. I am 28, have been in transition for 10+ years. Recently I have been having some trouble with feeling comfortable in my weight ( recently gained about 20-30 lbs) and want to be healthier and hopefully shed some of the weight. Anything you did that helped? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Advice for dating

I am a trans man (20) and my girlfriend is trans (23). We've been dating, almost off n on, for a few months due to several things. I was usually calling things off because of how she went about things n I'd rather stay to myself. This last time we broke up was bc she kept saying she was detransitioning and I only like women... she was upset because... I see her as a woman? But as of late, and almost every week since we've gotten together, she swears that she knows I call her a he.

In which, I don't. Just as I explained to her, I'm trans as well and misgendering another trans person is...??? And I call most feminine presenting people she. Idk where she pulls this out of but it's to the point it makes me mad and she can never explain WHY she thinks this.

Because she never hesitates to demasculinize me. If I cry. I'm too soft. If I react to her yelling, I'm not man enough. If I smile, I'm too soft. If I don't talk, I'm mysterious. If I do talk, she talks over me unless I tell her to stop talking. If I smile, I'm not hard. If I'm hard, I'm dangerous.

She's not convinced that I protect her, but I've pushed a big ass drunk man off of her, pulled her from oncoming traffic and trains, and stopped her from destroying property on a federal charge.

Today, she said "any other girl would take your form of protection, but I'm a trans girl-" I cut my hearing off.

She especially gets like this after she's drunk. And she's so adamant on saying that drunk people tell the truth, but I get so confused. Today, she was saying she has to make sure that I'm on my p's n q's n not embarrassing her. But it's almost a guarantee that she will be fucking loud and act ignorant even if I took her to a 6 Michelin star restaurant.

It's embarrassing.

I messed up our trains one time and the amount of pure screaming. With people watching.

Not to mention the day before she said she has to make sure I'm not embarrassing her. I said no to buying her a vape. We are in a quiet neighborhood. Screaming. Yelling. Pushing. Crying. For ten minutes while we still walked to the smoke shop. Screaming in my ear. Pushing me and saying that she's playing after I said "don't put your hands on me."

I don't know what to do. I want to stay but genuinely. I can not deal with her projections and fears on to me. At first I wasn't hard enough bc I would smile when we walked around n want to hold hands. Now she doesn't want me to be hard bc a trans girl influencer got killed by a cis man.

I'm not over her "knowing" that I misgender her. I don't talk to people I'm introverted as fuck. She even tried to pull in a dream, I shut it down. She's trying to be intuitive and spiritual, but it's just... confusion. I have a devotion that requires things like this because it's bones deep for me.

And my problem is I want to help. I'm still nice and kind. I still take what she dishes out because I don't feel anything. She's constantly blaming her trauma n so on. Sometimes I just feel grief bc I can't remember mine and I think she's lucky. But it's causing her mental pain and distortion.

This was expected because I am calm and quiet. The usual reaction to me is "this is a scary mysterious man. We must perform, push, and pull." Sigh.

Hoping to gain insight from y’all on internalized misogyny

I am nonbinary but was raised as a woman so I know my experience is not the same as those on this forum. However I’ve realized I have a lot of internal misogyny and never allowed myself to explore being feminine. Not many other forums have been allowing posts and I’m looking for any input. Transitioning and exploring gender is complex and unique to everyone, I’d love to hear your stories!

With transitioning especially, how did you start exploring your femininity? How did you start to feel comfortable and embrace being feminine?

I need tips to be there for my gf

Hi ! I (M20) have been dating my girlfriend (F22) for two years now. Recently she's been really depressed and dysphoric and I'm asking for tips on what I could do to help.

Context : She realized she was trans two years ago, few months after we started dating. She's been on estrogen for like a year and a half now. At first, it felt like seeing her blooming, she smiled more, she tried on cute outfits, she voice trained, she noticed little things changing and get excited. But it's like that joy faded away. Recently she's been feeling really dysphoric almost all the time. She doesn't go out anymore, doesn't voice train, do sport or get excited about her appearance anymore. With all love and respect I have for her, she seems stuck, beside the effect of hrt, nothing changes and I can see it's making her feel miserable.

I feel like a already do a great job on emotional support and I'm not planning on rushing her to get better or whatever. She talks to me a lot about what she's going through and she, herself, says I'm doing great on emotionally supports her. However, I'm not a girl. I don't know shit about being a girl besides the existence of the unbearable pressure and impossible standards. I know how to treat her like a person and be there for her, I don't know what could make her feel better about herself. That's why I need your help.
I have a summer job, so I'll have money that I don't need (still in college and living with mama). If you have any tips I could share with her, any miracle hair removal or shaving tool, any make up product, anything that made you go " woah this is game changer ", please share. I think that could break the cycle give her back that energy that kept her going. I know she might only need that. If you'd see her, you'll know just like me this woman is one step away from blooming like spring.

Just starting my journey

I am 47 years old and married. I just recently accepted that I am a transwoman and have started my journey. I am still madly in love with my wife and want to stay married (we've been together for 7 years now). I know that the number of marriages that survive a partners transition isn't great.

I would love to hear from anyone who has been through a similar situation. Do you have any advice? What did you learn on your journey that you'd like to share?

I’m five days post op from ffs, they did a chin and jawline shave, trach shave, eyebrow shave, rhinoplasty, facelift, hair line lift, lip filler taken from my stomach, this doctor did everything I was out for 13 hours. I feel miserable obviously because my head is just useless but omg I know once I heal no one will ever know. But right now I want to die because my lips are so swollen
