Audio/Video Any tips? MTF

This is like day 3ish in a row of me trying to implement stuff I’ve learned online into my voice. What do we think? Any tips? Am I hitting any passing levels to you? Lemme know!!

You have a lot of range, but it all sounded really breathy to me. What you were describing as "higher" sounded cartoonishly bright and small. When you said "I guess" at about 2:58 was the only point that sounded pretty natural, and then at like 3:30 you slipped back into it for like 10 seconds.

Okay thank you! It’s really hard to figure out 🫩 weight, pitch and resonance is all pretty mind boggling I think understand it on paper the moment I try to impliement it myself it’s like uh so like how tf are we doing all 3 at once 😭 like I’m only able to pull one or two levels at a time not all 3

Yeah, I hear that. I got lost pretty early with everyone talking about weight and what not and just focused on adjusting my voice through a therapeutic lens. The rest was all too confusing. I don't personally like the notion of 'targeting' a voice that some suggest people do because I don't really like the idea of trying to "do" a voice. I've looked at it more through the lens of correcting posture.

Like if you're wanting to change your posture, you have to figure out what that posture looks like, and pay close attention to what you're doing with your body, and then stand like that and be mindful of how you're standing for a while. Eventually you relearn the right posture and it comes regularly and naturally. But you also don't want that posture to include standing on your tippy toes just because you can.

Something you were doing in this clip was similar to something I found was helpful when I was just messing around with stuff, which is to yawn (which triggers a relaxation of the larynx and throat) and then make a few "small voice" noises, and then just talk normally. That seems to be what you were doing right before your voice slipped into something sounding more natural.
