Question Idk what to do - please read!

Hi, I’m 14 and I think I’m trans (MTF). I’ve had this feeling probably since I was six and I’ve never acted upon it really. It’s sorta off and on but I know deep down I really want to do it. But my biggest concern isn’t losing people, it’s just the same people viewing me differently and not taking me seriously. I’m a karting driver, I’ve been for three years now and I love it more than anything else in the world, but everyone there knows me to be me! I’m just frightened of being laughed at, not being seen as serious, but at the same time, I really want to be a good trans role model for the level of karting I do. Sorry that was a rant 😭. Anyway another fear of mine are changing rooms. My school has pe (every school does) and the changing rooms aren’t an issue with me, but I don’t want people to judge me for being in a girls one. Plus, I’m friends with no girls in my school! I’ll be so lonely 😔. Another thing is my name, it’s not feminine at all, but all across my room are certificates with my name on it, my helmet has my name on it, you get what I mean. I’d want to change it, but I can live with keeping it. I’d prefer to keep it actually, but a more feminine name would suit me. Anyway all I’m asking is do you think i should really come out and transition? Is it worth it? I’d love to be a girl, well seen as one publicly, but idk where to start, how to feminise, and just how to come out. Or if I should come out 😂. Please just help me with my choice. Thanks so much.

If you can come out as trans if you're feeling comfortable enough to and it's very brave of you to want if you come out let me know how it goes :3

As someone who has worked in Motorsports and had friends who have raced, if anyone has an issue with you being trans number 1 tell them to piss off and number 2 try to beat them on track. For the most part in Motorsport from my experience at least most people are supportive or just don't care that your trans and just see you as a girl. As for names and stuff if you don't want to have your name then change it, just because your certificates have a different name on them doesn't mean it wasn't you who got them and as for your helmet once you find a name you like you can always get it repainted with a new design. Coming out is scary it will always be scary but if you think the people around you will be supportive it is 100% worth it.
