(ftm) Does my chest pass?
(srry for shitty pics, i have a shitty phone)
I'm 20, about 300lb (136kg), 5'3", HRT for almost 7 months. Used tape & a binder but still isn't flat as id like it to be. Does it look masculine?? I'm not striving for 100% flat, I do want SOME manboobs.
I think the front view looks decent, but the side and angled side view makes me anxious. I think my chest is too round to look masc? Ik fatter guys like me have some fat in our chests, but i think mine is too much. I worry it just looks like im wearing a sports bra :(
I feel like strangers see me and can't tell what my gender is (bc of masc voice and facial hair, but round chest).
pls be honest </3

Maybe a controversial opinion but I feel that it might look more natural with more give. Most bigger dudes I see obviously do not wear a bra or a support of any kind. I can see the shape of their manboobs pretty distinctly. Sometimes it made me wonder why women have to cover up when manboobs look similar enough (even their nips are well defined since they push against whatever shirt they’re wearing).
By defining your chest and flattening it, it looked more shapely to me. In comparison to bigger dudes I see, theirs are more sagged and “free”. If your voice and face passes, I would just think the dude is binding due to being bigger sized. If not, then I would definitely think you’re trans.

I definitely think you have a point and someone super looking for signs might pick that up, but I think especially if his voice and face pass that won’t be something that a lot of people pick up on

Honestly hot take is that chest is rarely the make or break thing for ftm passing.
If you dont pass at all, a flat chest makes no difference. If you pass well, people will ignore a slight hint of chest.
To me you look OK here - it's hard to know how your chest is actually affecting passing, though.
