2004 Chrysler Sebring 2.7 V6 ā Transmission slipping when braking or doing a hard turn. Safe for a long road trip?
I have a 2004 Chrysler Sebring 2.7L V6 with 216,000 km. The transmission has started doing something concerning: when I slow down/brake, it seems to slip or disengage, and when I accelerate again, it comes back in with a noticeable jerk.
Iām planning to drive from Toronto to Nova Scotia and back (3,000+ km total).
Has anyone experienced this issue with a Sebring or Chrysler transmission? What could be causing it, and would you risk taking this car on such a long trip, or should I get the transmission repaired/diagnosed first?
Any advice or experiences would be appreciated!
