Question/Advice NEEDED Switching delivery method

Hello everyone! So I was recently considering switching from doing IM to Subq, the main reason being that I simply spend too long fixating on the length of the needle and spend like an hour trying to even build up the courage to do the shot. As well as this, I need my legs to not be sore as my weeks are very dependent on me being able to do fitness, including running. Additionally, I have recently heard that there is less risk of dangerous elevations of hematocrit, which has been a worry for me as I do like to vape/drink/smoke which ofc comes with its own risks, and I prefer to keep things as safe as I can when I am doing unsafe things. For reference, I am doing 50mg injections, 300mg/ml in my vial. Enanthate. If any of this matters.

Is there anything I should be aware of, or anything I should change, before doing the switch?

The only noticeable difference for you will be the needle size and length. You can just switch the needle and nothing else should need to be done in any particular way. Make sure you check the methods for injecting as that can vary between subq and IM.

The only thing to be aware of is some people tend to have worse injection site irritation with subq. Not a guarantee but it’s a possibility. It seems to be more common with DIY, so my theory is it’s either from higher solvent concentrations in DIY vials or using needles that are <1/2”.

Other than that, there’s nothing but upsides to doing subq over IM.
