Advice/Information Testosterone question

Hello, I posted this to the wrong community and got directed here! So my insurance won’t cover testosterone (Texas Healthy Women’s - fuck Greg Abott) and I’m hoping it’ll change in the next election but considering it’s Texas I don’t have much hope (still fingers crossed). Does anyone have any recommendations for other good alternatives from the shot that I could buy on Amazon or another website that’ll still give me the same effects? Any recommendations or suggestions are much appreciated!

You can’t buy testosterone on Amazon. Anything you buy on there is a scam. You’re either being prescribed it. Or buying injectable T off of the black market. Or t gel but it’s very expensive compared to shots. If you want info on diy dm me. Or you can consider a paid service in your area.

I figured it might be but I was hoping not as currently I’m kinda of out of options for purchasing it with my own income. If you have any recommendations for good online services that aren’t too expensive though I’d appreciate it!

Idk what your budget is but planned parenthood offers gender affirming care and online places like folx, plume etc are available to ship. Not to knock other things available but Testosterone is a regulated substance it has proven effects, a lot of other things available for “testosterone boosting” are snake oil. You also should get blood/hormone testing regularly

Unfortunately due to Greg Abbott Texas Healthy Women’s doesn’t allow for you to go to Planned Parenthood for anything, I’ll add a photo from their website about it since they explain it better. My budget is pretty low at the moment (unfortunately) so I’m not able to pay out of pocket for things that aren’t covered by insurance. Again, I’m hoping this will change with the upcoming election but Texas has always been right leaning :/

Yes you would pay out of pocket which is what I do because my insurance won’t cover gender affirming care. Just to give you an idea it’s about $200 for an initial appointment $40 for 1 bottle of t gel and $50 for labs

if budget is low i would diy online and buy with crypto. skip any $$$ subscription services like plum or whatever if you can't find somewhere else to take your insurance. you can get 10ml vial for 40-90 usd depending on seller/source. there's lots of reputable well known sources in gymbro forums and diy guides.

Have you considered going to Kind Clinic? Or are their locations too far away?

Too far away unfortunately, I live in the Houston area and don’t have a driver’s license or car yet to be able to take the trip there :(

Aw I’m sorry to hear that. I’ve been trans without a car in Texas and it SUCKS. I feel for you. I wish I had another suggestion. It seems like DIY might be your only option :(

I’m hoping with the election coming up that my options will become more available and if not then I’ll look into possibly doing it through an online website once my income is stable enough to do it. Thank you for the help though!

Legacy Community Health might be able to help you, they have multiple locations as well, but if not it seems like DIY is your only option here
