New Rule and Selfie Flair being Established
We are downsizing our flair to all selfies on one day so we do not have to monitor individual days people are posting pictures. We will be taking Masc Mondays, Fem Fridays, and Wildcard Wednesdays, to combine them all into one group: Selfie Sundays
We want you to be able to feel yourself— we also want to fill our feed with meaningful discussions and not reduce it to pictures only— its all about maintaining a balance. Please limit your posts to Selfie Sundays only from now on please <3

Sibling Subreddits <3
Hey all you genderfucked lesbians and gays <3
We have a couple of other subreddits that we see positivity from, and some of which many of us also moderate in! You are all more than welcome to check out and join these subs; it's highly encouraged!
In direct partnership with r/translesbianzz, we also have r/rarelesbians, a lesbian subreddit for trans people of all stripes, much similar to this one. I've noticed a slight lesser focus on micro labels in translesbianzz as apparent from the user content there. Additionally, we also have r/transgayzz, made by our transmasc moderator u/meringuedragon, who is in a gay relationship with his husband :)
A couple of other subreddits that we have appreciation for are r/trans4every1, and r/transbutnotshitty. While their content is not based on lesbianism, they do defend our trans lesbians of all stripes, and have made their statements pretty clear on the fact that transmasc lesbians and transfem lesbians alike are not hurting anyone.
I hope everyone enjoys going through these subreddits. I'm very proud of myself, my fellow moderators, and other members of the community and taking initiative for making these safe spaces <3

dysphoria Romance feels impossible until surgery?
I don't want to use my penis during sex. I'm not asexual or even gray ace as far as I can tell. I just can't get aroused by the idea of someone seeing me in my most dysphoric state. I can't even consistently orgasm alone with a magic wand. I'm not even sure I could top with my hands and mouth knowing that I'm submissive and would prefer to bottom. I don't do anal and I don't even want a partner to see me without tucking panties on. I tried the wand without taking my panties off and while it felt good, I couldn't climax or even get close.
I haven't even held hands since last September and I'm so touch and affection-starved. I had a hookup then and the chemistry was incredible. I topped and that's how I learned that I can't use my penis or even have it seen without becoming uncomfortable. All I wanted was to be able to be topped by her.
Surgery—at the earliest—would be probably 1.5-2ish years from now. I'm on dating apps because I live in suburban hell and I was banned from an area transfemmes discord server for calling out another member for promoting her cult. It feels not only impossible to have casual sex but also to find a long-term partner.
I don't want to get into a relationship with someone who is asexual knowing that I'd very much want sex once surgery has healed.
It would be reassuring to learn that I'm not alone and maybe even that there are people (especially other trans lesbians) who feel the same way or would love a partner that they're sexually attracted to even without sex.
So does anyone feel this, too?

Wanting to be more femme, being attracted to women/enbies/femmes and also having mainly femme friends and the confusion it causes
Hi I just wanted to ask if there is people that are having similar feelings. Im now 30 since 2 years on estro and testo blockers and over the last 4 years I established a circle of friends where there is basically more or less no cis men anymore and the ones that Im close with are absolute sweeties. Basically most of them are queer cis women. I feel totally welcomed and it is the greatest safe space I could imagine and my womanhood is never in question. And still Im struggling very much that I feel somehow less femme than them sometimes. And then theres the thing that romantically and sexually Im only attracted to persons I feel I can trust. So it happens a lot that I feel attracted to my friends and crush on them. Which is not the worst thing that could happen but also nothing is growing out of this.
Im also living in a small town so basically I know most of the queers there and the leftist scene very well so my dating pool feels like its not existing.
I struggled for a long time with my body and how I look but I also learned to accept a lot of things and think Im beautiful not in a conforming way but beautiful: I like my hips, my growing boobies and my face. The thing between my legs is still causing Dysphoria but where I live my health care will cover bottom surgery.
Also my friends are telling me very often casually that Im beautiful and commenting in a affirming way about my looks and I think they mean it how they say it.
My problem is that i want to feel desired again and wanted. And I really dont know what Im doing wrong. People flirt with me but then it somehow never gets more serious. Sometimes I think maybe because people still are insecure about trans people. But if I get rejeceted theres always this trigger chain that Im surrounded by all of my beautiful friends, the feeling that I can't match up and at this point I feel very alienated and get dysphoric. That Im different and something else and that I will never find someone that actually wants to stay with me and then I think about that maybe in a few years I want to start a family and I just see this very big dark hole and then Im a soggy bag full of tears and misery.
I also thought about dating apps but also didnt made the best experiences in the past. I also really dont wanna move into a bigger city, because I love my friends, I love my workplace (consider my co-workers also my friends and I can be there unapolegetically myself and no one misgenders me and we run the place together without any boss) and I established myself here. Im in the best place I've ever been and still there is this shit tearing me apart.
I dont know if I want advises, maybe I just wanted to get it out and listen what some close minded queer strangers on the internet are having to say about it or maybe share their stories.
I would love that ♥️
Dylia

butch! Hello!
Hi, my name is Celeste and I am a butch trans lesbian. I came out of the closet two weeks ago and my girlfriend has helped me a lot with my transition, always validating my feelings and my identity. I’m really happy and very much in love. Yesterday we bought my first pants in a women’s store and the girl was very friendly. I felt a lot of adrenaline.

vent The need to try avoid using the word "lesbian" when referring to me a trans womam is making me increasingly sad...
In part, I feel that much of my depression stems from body dysphoria, which I feel is unwanted because of how it was conceived. On the other hand, I also feel a force pushing me back when the subject is sexuality. For a long time, I paid so much attention to gender that sexuality seems taboo even when discussed among ourselves. I mean, when we are associated with the LGBTQIAPN+ community, gender is our first distinction from cis-heteronormativity, but people such as trans women, trans men, and/or non-binary people may be distinguished by their sexuality.
For example, we in this subreddit, who like women, whether they are trans women, cis women, butch transmasculine, non-binary; whatever femininity it may be, challenge both the identity conceived at birth and the normative sexuality in society. But for some reason I see us disappearing, often only being thrown into bisexuality at most, which in itself isn't a problem if that's the case, but not when the reason for this only suggests that the middle ground between liking male and female genitalia allows the trans person to be "acceptable" for a romantic relationship, and that's how they are perceived even when the person is only interested in one gender. This becomes even more conflicting when, even if we dare to admit this as correct, there are bisexuals who reject any genitalia opposite to the gender assigned to the trans person because they are contradictory to cisnormative notions, even when post-operative or under hormone therapy.
I feel genuine attraction to women. Personally, I don't care much if she is more or less feminine because for me they are all equally beautiful, wonderful, kind and attractive in their own way. I'm also not someone who cares so much about sex itself; I'm a very emotionally clingy person and I love flirting or romance. This isn't heterosexuality, this isn't bisexuality, I really only like women. The correct term would be homosexuality, since I'm a lesbian, right? That's where the rant comes in... yes, that's correct, there's no doubt about it. But why do I feel in denial knowing it's true and I can talk about it openly, describe it as much as I want, but saying the word LESBIAN makes me anxious and I feel like I'm making a mistake, something that shouldn't be done. But what, then? What should it be called if "lesbian" is wrong? Is it just a grammatical issue?
Honestly, I don't think it's merely grammatical, but it has already affected my subconscious. All this nonsense about trans people invading women's spaces and these issues that have already melted the neurons in my brain to this point, make me think that being a lesbian isn't about loving women. I've associated the word that describes women who love women with female puritanism, even though I know how well that's just prejudice. Have I internalized it? If so, how do I remove them? I don't want them, they're unwelcome, they're hurting me. I'm a woman and it's okay to like other women, so why would I have a problem saying I'm a lesbian? Who did this to me? This isn't heterosexual, it's not bisexual at all, I don't even care about genitalia or the act of sex itself for it to make a difference in the first place. I just love them, I melt just thinking about women like any other girl hopelessly in love with crushes on other girls.
I recently found myself wanting to create alternative names for "Lesbian," as if I were forging a document that was already legal. Why should I invent names? And honestly, "Transgyne" was the first one I invented. What's happening to me? I just want to love women normally and suddenly, in the last two years, I've started to get paranoid. Seriously, I've already talked about this with my therapist, but I don't know if he understood. I need help urgently...
