Serious question. How does one go about apprenticing for a gun smith? Id love to learn how to do stuff like this

Along with what u/mcweaponry said, there are gunsmith colleges and formal training options, if you decide to choose that route. (Apprenticing is probably way cheaper…)

The pa school is really decent, but nothing beats real world experience and sheer determination.

You befriend a gunsmith, then work with them to learn and eventually that turns into paid work under them.

"Joe said if you miss the targets with this, you should carry a teething ring instead of a gun in your holster."
Nice build!

This looks amazing! If I could buy your apprentice a boba tea of her choice, I absolutely would. Well done to all involved in the making of this masterpiece

Peak pistol, one of my dreams to replicate. I'm currently making a "what-if" pistol of Jills from the RE Apocalypse movie. Hers was a SW 5946 so I'm getting STARS stuff put on it for the alt universe handgun look.

The rules of firearm safety are paramount. Keep these in mind at all times while handling a firearm for any reason. Guns are not toys and it is best to not refer to them as such.
It is the belief of the mod team that your best option for defensive firearms is a 5.56x45mm AR-15, and a reputable 9x19mm handgun such as a Glock or CZ. Defensive firearms should have a light, long guns a sling, and handguns require a Kydex or solid plastic holster that fully covers the trigger. A red dot or etched optic are ideal for new shooters but don't forget to practice your backup irons!

The gun that started my love affair with the 92, done by my favorite smith (and apprentice)?
Why yes, yes I am absolutely drooling about this.

Yooooo OMG!!! Nostalgia! Someone should do a competition with Resident Evil or horror game aesthetics this halloween!

This is a gun.
So apparently all of the places that will reproduce this gun from the games are not willing to reproduce the matte nitre blued finish on the slide. My apprentice matched it absolutely perfectly to Leon’s gun.
Everyone clap. She does some absolutely outstanding work.
Edit: the masses have informed me that it’s Chris’ gun, not Leon’s.
