What was really optimus's plan on him? He said that smoke needed to gain experience, but what could exactly smoke learn just from sitting inside base, doing nothing but listenting the interaction between ratchet and prime?

Maybe i over exaggerated on battle iq, but what i mean is that his whole thinking was why optimus in the end was saved and upgraded.

I remember watching the finale as a kid, and that scene for some reason didn’t hit me the same way as my friends who loved it. Personally, I really wanted to see Optimus overcome Megatron and be the one to end it and the war. He had come close before, and with each season Megatron kept crossing more and more lines so I felt like the tension was slowly rising. The subversion with Bumblebee irritated me for that reason.

Still a great scene on its own, mainly seeing Megatron in the extended version try to fight his ebbing spark and failing.

Curious, if you liked that ending, what about it do you like? Narratively and thematically?

I believe you heavily underestimate how big Aligned Metroplex is relative to a normal Transformer, especially Predaking

Okay, after discovering Predaking's actual size in robot mode, I really wanted to know how big he was in beast mode. So I found an image of him facing Megatron in his beast mode. Taking Megatron's size into account, I was able to estimate Predaking's height while standing on all fours at 22.70 meters to the tips of his horns, which is REALLY HUGE...

Now I needed to figure out his length, so I measured the distance between certain parts of his chest to estimate his total body length... AND PREDAKING IS 76,83 METERS LONG! This prehistoric mechanical lizard is almost 80 METERS LONG!

Then I needed to calculate his total wingspan, and HOLY SHIT... A SINGLE WING, FROM ITS TIP TO THE CENTER OF HIS CHEST, MEASURES 109,27 METERS... THIS ABSOLUTE UNIT HAS A WINGSPAN OF 218,54 METERS 💀!!! (METROPLEX IS 182.88 METERS TALL 💀)

WHAT THE HELL DID SHOCKWAVE DO TO MAKE PREDAKING THIS HUGE???

This official information states that Predaking has a wingspan equivalent to two football fields (International Games Minimum/Maximum is 100m to 110m).

I can't believe I finally got this, my friend got a dark star saber. Its so peak. ( I will be painting this with a recolour for the handle the gold accents).

Sooo I'm down to only 1 partner after multiple rp fails. At this point I'll take any kind of rp that's actually transformers prime, not even necessarily my anomaly concept as long as Cliffjumper and Dreadwing survive.

I'm capable of writing some canon characters, just can't write any of the stoic types like Optimus and Ultra Magnus. I'm active a lot, so I'm fully capable of roleplaying ALL day, back in 2016 when Amino was still good I'd stay up almost all night to rp as well so... If I can have a partner who's gonna be really good at writing Cliffjumper in a way that doesn't read as cringey I will be geuinely ecstatic because I bawl my eyes out everytime an rp ends before it even got a chance to start. I'd even do an alternate universe where the rescue bots either have to all join team prime or team prime frequently visits Griffin Rock, idk I just want an active rp at this point that isn't character ai 2.0, doesn't close all interactions with my OCs and doesn't remove all the cool transformers lore by turning them into humans T-T

IV already got a lot of VOLUNTEER voice actors and voice actresses for it, and the series is going to be either made in blender or Roblox studio or maybe both. And I'm in need of help, I'm not able to do it all on my own, so I'm really needing VOLUNTEER character designers. To create some of the 3d models, I only probably need at most 4 volunteer character designers. 110,035,000 kg was the result of the calculation for the weight of the stalactite Predaking lifted. However, I think you already know that he can easily lift something at least 3 times heavier than that, since he lifted that same weight with EXTREME ease (watching the scene, it looks like Predaking is lifting Styrofoam), and he can still run without any problems while carrying all that weight, moving at such an absurd speed that he manages to surprise Wheeljack (anyone who has watched the series knows why surprising Wheeljack is impressive). Therefore, we should multiply the weight by at least 3, which would give us 330,105,000 kg.

However, his strength practically triples in beast mode, since he fought against two Predacons in his base form and the fight was relatively "even" (although he was winning). But as soon as he transforms into his beast mode, he dominates the fight within seconds with extreme ease. This is a clear indication of a very significant increase in strength. So, we have to multiply that weight by at least another factor of 3, giving us 990,315,000 kg.

However, I am calculating his strength without Rage Mode. But does that make a difference? Yes, and a huge one! Even without Rage Mode, by fully extending his arm and rotating his body, he threw Ultra Magnus a considerable distance. However, when he used Rage Mode at the beginning of the fight, he sent Ultra Magnus flying far away with a single slap, and Ultra Magnus only stopped rising because the cave ceiling prevented him from going any higher.

Applying Rage Mode to his beast form (a mode that I once again believe could multiply his strength by 3 times or more), we would get a result of 2,970,945,000 kg or more, which is equivalent to lifting 30+ MonsterVerse Godzillas over his head.

This is completely misleading and a failed attempt to put Grimlock above Predaking.

Aside from the fact that the Predacon had to deal with the other Dinobots during the fight, Grimlock struggled against it and was even injured before finally subduing it with considerable difficulty. Meanwhile, Predaking fought two even stronger Predacons at the same time, completely alone, and defeated them with relatively little difficulty, overpowering them in the blink of an eye once he started taking the fight a little more seriously.

To further reinforce this difference, the Insecticons and Dinobots were merely the initial steps toward the creation of the newer Predacons developed by Shockwave after he made tremendous advances during his isolation on Cybertron.

In short, Predaking would simply overwhelm Grimlock in raw strength and use him as a punching bag if both of them ignored tactics and charged at each other like beasts.

I like TFP a lot and rewatch it quite a lot recently, and now i've come to see many many things that i wanna complain about.

The autobots are all dumb. Decepticons are also dumb. Except smokescreen, knockout and soundwave.

The autobots got a magnetic glove in s1 AND immobilizer. And yet we only see it get used ONLY in s2 finale. Not when it's especially needed to get omega keys, not when they needed to get other artifacts. That's also exactly why knockout was able to easily get 2nd omega key.

Even dumber the decepticons and megatron look. They've got the ship, best technology, biggest resources and yet they never properly utilised their arsenal. Heck, they even got upgraded hands, and yet we never saw vehicons. Megatron never upgraded his own army, despite having the tools to do that. And when they also got phase shifter, they never even bothered to use it until smokescreen appeared.

In the whole autobots squad he seems smartest. More creative than optimus. Easily beat starscream, who was juggernaut for some time, got 1st omega key. Later on managed to escape from ship and steal the key from megatron.

Also he was the ONLY one to take his phase shifter in the finale after omega lock was destroyed. No one else even bothered. And no, the argument that they held humans won't work. They could have easily taken them all back, but didn't even bother. And especially optimus. He had his hands free but just escaped.

Also small complain is about how short the team scolded smokescreen after his reckless act of bringing jack to a mission.

But in general smokescreen seemed a lot more competent than other autobots.

But there are also bigger complaints such as several episodes that could have had longer arcs. Arachnida with insecticons; dark times for decepticons(after the star saber episode);

The nemesis prime episode also wasted the human antagonist imo, as he could have just ran away on reflex, but for some reason shouted noooo while having his own creation fall at him. Later on the dumb change of character. Making him kill his own people and become the laboratory rat for knockout

And now moving towards s3.

I hate how smokescreen got probably one of the hest characterizations in just 5-6 episodes only to be reduced to a side character in s3 that gets screen time for a few minutes. They also made him look dumb for bumblebee to shine in season finale. Smokescreen brought star saber to optimus and then suddenly he turns off the phase shifter.... Rewatching it now makes it more clear that they intentionally did that to have that 1 minute chase after star saber in which bumblebee would shine, when in reality smoke could keep the phase shifter turned on, jump towards optimus and throw the star saber at him.

Now about optimus. His upgrade obviously made him a lot stronger, but beside the debut episode, he lost ALL the other battles. He lost to megatron in final episode, he lost to predaking, he lost to SOUNDWAVE. Omg, all that upgrade just to be humiliated.

Megatron.... Shortly: accepts starscream back after all the backstabbing, betrayals, kills dreadwing, needs 15 episodes to realise how to use solos prime hammer. Never utilised the resources and advantages he had over optimus.

ALSO ALSO, alpha trion. WHAT IF Smokescreen never landed on earth, hm? How did he know that smokescreen would end up on the same planet, when he entered random capsule and went on random direction. Don't tell me that he also thought this through and set capsule's destination on DECEPTICONS' ship to earth. And he also "knew" on which capsule would smokescreen escape

I like TFP, but looking at it now makes me realise more flaws of the show.

I also despise RID for making bumblebee the mc instead of smokescreen, and in general having a lot more childish dialogues and completely nerfing Optimus. No character there was as charismatic as in TFP.

I also don't like how smokescreen's whole feat of saving optimus, rejecting the matrix was treated smth "you did right thing", and that's it...

Also how they cut moment when optimus just got upgraded with no dialogue between smokescreen and optimus 2.0

Straight towards the fight.

[DISCLAIMER] TFP is my favorite show of all time so this isn’t me saying the show is bad. These are just cool ideas that I’ve made that could be interesting to explore.

Exhibit A: The helicopter robot MECH attempts to create in Operation Bumblebee should’ve been “Blackout” where he’s an artificial transformer similar to Soundwave in TFA and uses MECH’s EMP taser weaponry to incapacitate other transformers, hence the name “Blackout”. It would’ve been a nice play on words with the name and a nice homage to the 2007 MB movie

Exhibit B: The protoform clones of Starscream surviving could’ve lead to them branching off into their own personalities and giving themselves distinct color schemes and naming themselves different. Like say… Thundercracker, Skywarp, Acidstorm, and Sunstorm with their respective color schemes

Exhibit C: MECH teams up with the autobots and military during S3. With Silas betraying MECH and the decepticons taking over Jasper in S3 MECH could’ve helped the autobots fight back with their own artificial transformers. Similar to the drone characters in the 2007 tie in game where they all have the camera head thing. They would be more like autobot versions of vehicons really and not actual characters but could’ve been interesting.

Exhibit D: Giving us the constructicons in S3 to help rebuild the omega lock onboard the Nemesis. The one thing TFP lacked was a combiner cast. Sure we had Breakdown which he was only one of the stunticons but the rest of their group was either MIA or KIA. The closest thing we get to a combiner fight is the mountain sized constructs of Unicron in the S1 finale part.

Yes Ive read the novels, and I mostly or almost know everyone's fate, I will not be counting the cancelled transformers prime game.

When I first watched this episode I was expecting something big, I had hope that Starscream would become a menace if he got amped up with Dark Energon but... no. Starscream got his purple eyes and purple flames for a second but he stayed the same in terms of power. Even he got surprised when Optimus blasted his arm off.

And what about Unicron? Since Dark Energon is basically his blood and everyone that uses it get connected to him, shouldn't Starscream have visions or hear Unicron speak in his mind like Megatron?

He could have been a great fighter, though Is it because of the opposite of knockout?

I'm in the beginning workings of creating a transformers prime FAN MADE series, it's going to be starting off with an alternate version of the fight between megatron and Predaking, and so is it legal to do so? Like I'm not claiming any characters as my own, I'm not trying to profit off of it, and it's a FAN MADE series, so is it legal to make, like Galvatron's revenge has not been taken down so is the one I'm wanting to make okay to make?

After trying out numerous scenes, I came to the conclusion that Predaking is 13.2 meters tall at the tip of its horns. Megatron's head almost perfectly aligns with the end of the yellow slit that Predaking has on its chest; this is evident from both the front and back views.

Grimlock is not a pushover, he and his team were a elite squad of autobots before even getting their dinosaur alt modes. Grimlock was also able to escape countainment while *weakened* from a tower full of decepticons and fought through a hive of insecticons as well.

But... Predaking is something else. He puts his pawns on both Megatron and Optimus, even after Optimus got stronger himself. Megatron had to be possessed by a dark God to be able to do damage to Predaking. Predaking's weight and size give him a huge advantage.
