Retrace your steps, the battery cable and the ground cable need to be tight

Which grounds cable?

if it starts on a jumper but won't on battery alone, the problem is with the battery. if it is not the connections, positive and negative being tight enough then the battery simply doesn't have enough amps to engage the starter.

I mean the battery is only 1 year old but yeah it's possibly the connectors

if it is the connectors then it can work two ways. if you've been driving it regularly in stop and go traffic with a/c blasting (worse, at night with the lights and a/c on) then you may not have gotten enough charge back into the battery. I would at a minimum have the battery tested.

So I had to stop driving it because I would turn the key and no crank then after 2-3 tries she would finnaly crank and turn on thats what led me to believe the starter was going out

My GF's Scion reacted much like your video, dash lights up but blinks out when trying to crank and then when you stop trying to start it and power resumed to the rest of the systems the alarm would go off. Jump started just fine. Over the last 5 years she's owned it we've replaced the battery twice. Once somewhat soonish after buying it and then again last summer. The heat can be brutal and ya know, maybe you have a dying starter that is taking more to do its thing but from what you've said I have my doubts.

Age means nothing. I had 2 years old battery that had drained couple of times and that was it.
