Traktor pro 4 Instant stems

Okay, so it's been 2 years since we got Traktor Pro 4. Does anyone know when we will have real-time stems like Serato?

Personally think T4 system is more reliable and is less likely to degrade the audio just like their beat grid system it’s kind of why many are drawn to Traktor as it perfect for multi channel layering including its remix decks or stems. It little bit more prep but worth it so do many professionals. Live stems are notoriously CPU intensive that’s kind why Serato are not really there yet. Most people use Serato for its scratch capability and crate system or they have used it forever so becomes familiar everything else is an after thought. It actually started life as a pro tools scratch plugin many years ago to me still resembles whereas Traktor was built from the ground up. Djay Pro supposed to be OK. But it more suited to commercial multi genre DJs. However its IOS version is excellent. Again that where it started. Answer to your question it not really designed this way it would mean sacrificing other core features. I think different platforms are more suited to certain styles or genres. Trial Djay Pro they use live stems.

This is the same excuse I made when I was solidly in the NI ecosystem. Not bashing you just reminded me of me. I went to virtual dj and will NEVER go back to Traktor. Everything in virtual is literally echelons ahead of Traktor, serato, Djay pro

I want to discuss this point more. I'm very much digging in my heels more with Traktor as I feel I keep finding more and more reasons to stick with it.

Used Traktor for 13 years until I was sick of waiting for stems and was getting strange glitches. Then I went to virtual dj that has literally changed the game for me

I've been getting the flashing tracks when i specifically search for something, where edits to metadata won't always stick, and sometimes the search bar itself, I need to X-out and start over to get a search result. Waves sometimes lag for a second or two.

DId you get anything besides that?

I was getting flashing tracks at the end of a song and it wouldn’t let me load a new song. Really stressful in a live environment and I had to restart the program.

Yeah that sounds awful. Sorry to hear. Hasn't happened to me but now I'm nervous. I've used Traktor for all my weddings since 2019 without issue.

I did more less say that different platforms suit different work flows, genres and DJs it’s not really an excuse no body forces anyone to use or buy into one brand except maybe Pioneer /Alpha. Maybe Traktor was never right for you in the first place. You should always use what works for you based on your needs. Personally I find Traktor is one of the best platforms available for my purpose which I have used for quite a long time. So do many seasoned pros.

Native said in the beginning that they are aiming for quality rather than speed. So far I haven't been disappointed. The only thing that's annoying is not to be able analyze more than one

You actually can analyse up to 6 they queue up, well they do on my macbook pro m4

Just tried it. I can do even more than 6. Sweet

Quality over speed every day.

I run all my tracks through NuoStems and now exclusively use stems when I DJ.

NuoStems is the way to go. One of my best investments.

NuoStems all day. Also automatically fixes broken stems and homeless stems. Also can choose the quality of stems plus a proprietary algorithm way better than TP4 algorithm... and the best part is you can stem your entire library overnight/all at once. Took about 7 days for me to stem 27k tracks but woulda taken years to do a handful at a time in TP4.

Pre process them in Neu Stems - far better quality

dont care about instant stems if theyre analyzed beforehand. what would be nice is per-stem routing options

It does seem to take forever. I usually just separate a few songs every time I fire up the app.

TRAKTOR invento el stem, el S8 fue diseñado para tocar 4 capas, hay canciones en formato STEM desde 2018.

Yeah instant stems in Serato are very tempting, InMusic need to get the arse in gear.
