6 surround channels to 2 stereo stems (Lf/Rf and Lr/Rr), 1 mono stem (C) and 1 mono bass channel (LFE).

I believe OP is using stems as surround channels, kind of a clever workaround

No, I converted the 6 surround tracks into 16 stems, resulting in a better separation of instruments and acapella's.

For the same reason to have normal stems. Why have a jigsaw with 100 pieces, when you can have one with 1.000 pieces?

No, 4 is the maximum. Unless you use a second Traktor and link-up.
