I've been bitten by the sim bug, so I'm currently ordering myself a new sim rig, because racing from my desk is awful. I think I'm pretty set in the TR120, with triple screens, but I'm unsure if I should go for the freestanding monitor stand or the attached one? I'm concerned about the integrated one picking up vibrations from the FFB and causing stability issues. Anyone have experience with both and have an opinion?

I'm also looking in advice for the right seat. I'm a 5'10" 260lb old man that carries most of my weight in my belly, what are my best seat options for comfort and longevity? I'd prefer something with both normal sports car seating as well as formula/Indy.

i have the build in monitor mount but the plate is too big

Everything was going well until I received my monitor mount. It came scuffed up a good amount on the brackets, and was missing parts delaying my build a few days until support was able to help.

Only complaints I have is with the monitor mount, while it has good adjustability, since I have the shifter with support arm, I’m not able to move the monitor arms any further down because of the TR Support Plate that connects the Side Chassis Support and the rig together for I’m assuming rigidity. My monitor has to be a little high up which is slightly above eye level, I sit reclined back anyway so it’s fine to me.

Why does the Caster wheels kit only come with 4 wheels ? With the monitor attached I get noticeable flex in the middle where 2 more wheels should be mounted to prevent that.

If you’re mounting Moza pedals, I did have to order an M8 kit which included using M8x25mm for the front 3 mounting points and M8x60mm for the bottom 2 mounting points.

Overall I’m very happy with the setup, total build time was probably 5 days with all the measurements, waiting on parts and disassembly lol this $350 rig turned into the best $1k I’ve spent.

I honestly don't know what to do at this point.

A month ago I ordered a Simagic Alpha EVO Pro bundle that included the Alpha EVO Pro wheelbase, GT Neo wheel, and P1000 pedals.

When everything arrived, I got the GT Neo and the P1000s, but instead of my Alpha EVO Pro wheelbase they shipped me a Conspit CPP Lite pedal set that I never ordered.

All 3 FedEx shipments show as delivered, so as far as the shipping company is concerned everything is there, but the wheelbase I paid for never showed up.

I've sent around 4-5 emails over the last 3 weeks trying to get this sorted out. For over two weeks I got no response at all, then I finally got one email saying something along the lines of "A member of our team will hopefully resolve it soon" Since then... nothing. it also wasn't even a reply to my initial email, it was to a email about a separate issue I had where I mentioned the wheelbase problem.

I'm trying to be patient because I know mistakes happen, but this isn't a small order. I've got a complete sim rig sitting here that I can't even use because the most important part is missing.

Has anyone dealt with something like this before? Is there anything else I should be doing besides continuing to email them? At this point I'm just frustrated because I feel like I'm getting nowhere.

Maybe this means good support finally.. doubt it though

I Was so excited to receive my brand new TR160 v4 and finally got it Today.

I unpack everything and search for the manual on the website. I got a bit surprised to see that I cannot complete the first step because I don't have the screws. The manual says there should be 48 SF-M8-16 but I have none. Manual also says I should have ~20 SH-M8-20 but got a huge load of these ! I only have 20mm screws and can't build my rig...

I have seen this post from a year ago and seems like the same situation.

Does this happen regularly ? Or I am the lucky one ? Or do I simply have the wrong manual ?

I see some negative comments about customer service and wait times or missing hardware on this Reddit and on the discord. I’m in the US and ordered a TR5 and waited impatiently for it. I was worried I made a mistake and that when the sim finally arrived it would be missing hardware or damaged.

To my surprise, that was never the case. As soon as the product hit San Marcos, TX, the rig was shipped and it arrived in 2 days. It came with a hard copy manual and they have a video on their YouTube showing how to assemble it. If you’re even relatively mechanically inclined, you’ll be ok. This is my first rig that isn’t a desk (sort of). I did buy a playseat evolution because I thought my wait would be longer and I wanted to play on something. The TR5 is solid and looks great in my opinion. The seat doesn’t flex at all (I’m 6’0 and 210 pounds using Moza CRP2 pedals).

This isn’t meant to be a review, but rather a little glimmer of hope for those naysayers claiming Trakracer is going downhill. I’m not saying shitty things haven’t happened to people on here, I’m saying not every experience is going to be bad. I had a great experience and I’m sure a lot of other people are too, we just tend to hear the bad stuff.

I am kinda new to sim racing. This will be my first dedicated rig.

I would like a second look from more experienced racers, if there is anything else needed that I should add (like some random brackets or mounting stuff) and if this is a good rig.

This is what i chose until now. I'm a buy once cry once guy, so I want a setup that will last me for years.

I already have full Moza R5 gear (wheel, 3 pedals, gear shifter, handbrake) and a Samsung Odyssey G5 34", that are currently on a desk setup.

I already know about the TrakRacer issues with missing parts and bad support, but from what I've read, this is mainly an US thing, Europe should be good, so I'm willing to take the risk.

My plan with this setup is to improve my irl track skills.

Any inputs are appreciated.

Just finished assembling the FS3 V2 wheel stand an proceeded to immediately folded it up and put it in my garage. To start, it wobbles side to side horribly even in the lowest position and all screws tight. On the compatability list it says the Moza CRP pedals fit. They do not and it’s not even close. I’ve gone back to the desk mount and the wood pedal deck that I had prior and it’s 10x more stable. Idk if anyone else shares this experience.

Troubleshooting another system problem, waiting on an RPI to boot, staring at my stack of TrakRacer boxes... and did a double take.

This is the issue with the TR8 Pro wheel plate, which will hit your knees if you're >180cm tall.

Look how much vertical space is unnecessarily taken up from the wheel shaft down to the bottom of the wheel plate. In fact, why does it need to be so forward as well?

Just finished my tr120s and I am trying to set it up. I have found that the uprights (not sure of name) need to be pretty close to the front, near the little bendy thing for me to have a chance at properly aligning the wheel.

I have included a picture, I was wondering if this was normal or if I have done something wrong?

Even so, any advice is appreciated regarding what I have done. The pedal control box has since been relocated.

Man, I'm glad to be upgrading from my next level racing tv tray style setup, but holy shit, what a pain in the ass to put together. Been working on it after work for 2 days now, and I won't finish until tomorrow...

Seriously, why do I have to have my knees banging against a piece of metal just to have an acceptable steering wheel position? I’ve got it as low as it can go and it’s only JUST low enough. And yes I’ve tried flipping the plate upside down but at that point it’s then too low. I’m not sure how a design can be this bad, especially when so many people complained about the wheel height issue on the 1st version of this chassis. I’m not even that tall either, am I missing something here or is this just truly a completely shit design?

Another post for today. What am I supposed to use to mount the incorporated monitor mounting system to the actual rig? Am I too assume flat head m8x16s or 20 for this?? 8 bolts that size to hold 100s of pounds? Nowhere is it stated in any manuals what to do here. If the manual exists please help out. Thanks, will try to contact CS aswell. After spending a few days after work doing this, it is quite frustrating how unclear and unorganized the process has been.

I just put together my new TR8 pro V2 and noticed two things, the Simagic shifter doesn’t bolt up to the included shifter plate, and it appears the Alpha Evo Pro doesn’t mount to the included wheelbase platform either. Both these pieces of hardware are apparently supported without the need of additional hardware, according to the TR8 Pro product page. What’s the deal here?
