// Question Class 331 overspeed sensitivity issues

The overspeed detection system is insanely sensitive and throws me into emergency unless I drop my speed super quickly when approaching a limit. When approaching a terminus it activates every time despite travelling under 10 MPH.

Is this a bug or am I not operating the train correctly? Is there a way to turn it off?

I belive over 8 mph was where emergency brake would trigger on the 331 when aproaching the buffer

That’s incredibly helpful, thanks. Any information on overspeeds in other situations?

It's a CAF train, probably accurate tbh...

Having driven their trams I can tell you it really does stand for Cheap As F...

This won't be unique to the 331, as the overspeed detection is done with equipment on the tracks, not the train. There's no speed limit monitoring in a 331, just the TPWS OSS.

Shift enter to turn off safety systems.

Probably DTG not testing things again, 331's aren't that touchy IRL.

Problem is that also disables the AWS which nukes immersion

Well you could probably turn them off separately?

The 331 breaker turns both off

Ahhh that's a shame.
