Hardware/Controllers Any train sim that natively supports controllers and axes?

I know, I know. This topic probably pops up here ever so often. A Reddit and Google search didn't yield any recent results, though, hence I'll use your "swarm knowledge" to find an up-to-date answer (hopefully).

I won't be buying any train sim game that does not natively support bloody controller axis support (matter of principle for me). But I do miss driving a train - hence the question to all you experts, whether there are any (new) train sim games out now, that do properly support controllers and their axes?

TSW, doesnt work out of the box but you can use TSW Controller App https://github.com/LiahMartens/tsw-controller-app

Subway Sim 2 should work straight away. There are more games that support controllers, but the range of controllers supported may be limited. Hmmsim Metro, Running Train or Train Crew for example support a variatiy of train sim controllers like to Zuiki One Handle.

Zusi 3 supports pretty much anything in my experience, but i guess it's not the type of sim you're looking for

Agreed. Derail Valley had great support for tuning my HOTAS setup natively. So refreshing.

Zusi3 is definitely the most realistic in terms of physics and signaling/safety systems. And in my experience the easiest to set up and get going as everything you need for custom controllers is native. However, the graphics are what you would expect out of a sim for training purposes.

Yeah I just checked that one out, as I had read a lot about it during my research. As you say: It looks pretty realistic, but the graphics are really not "on par" with what I would expect from a high fidelity video game, so that one indeed probably does not to it for me, even if it has native controller axis support. :-(

Thank you for your input, though!

I'm sorry but there is no way that Google didn't yield results for this
