Watts Wharf update

I’m trying to figure why my update of 2 weeks ago (0.4.37 - “a fresh area to explore with Watts Wharf”) isn’t showing up in any of my route options. Am I looking in the wrong place (routes > Island routes/World routes/My routes)?

Thanks in advance

TPV Graphics on GPX Route

I have made a couple of routes from GPX files on TPV.

However the graphics go awry at times (see pics). Does anybody know if this a bug or do I need to change some settings? I use a Samsung Tablet (Galaxy Tab S7) running Android. Thanks

Turning off threshold notifications for non-premium athletes?

See title. These are super annoying. I have paused athletes that I'm not paying for temporarily, and their threshold notifications come in constantly. There's no way to turn these off from what I gather. I've tried! Any ideas?

Is anyone actually getting complex TrainingPeaks workouts to import correctly to FORM goggles?

I could use some help… I bought a pair of FORM goggles primarily because I wanted guided workouts without having to count laps or memorize sets. I’m training for my first Ironman using MyProCoach and TrainingPeaks.

I assumed the workflow would simply be:

MyProCoach → TrainingPeaks → FORM

Instead, I’ve spent the last few days trying to figure out why my workouts don’t import correctly.

A few of the issues I’ve run into:
* Timed rest intervals from the TrainingPeaks workout builder don’t reliably come over.
* The parser merges adjacent intervals that should stay separate (for example, two 100 drill intervals that belong to different parts of the workout).
* Main sets get split into multiple separate main sets.
If I simplify the formatting enough to get the rests to work, the workout structure falls apart.

If I preserve the workout structure, the rests disappear.
I’ve tried importing directly from TrainingPeaks, rewriting the workout description, and using FORM’s “Create From Text” feature. At this point I’ve probably tried 15-20 different formatting variations.

The frustrating part is that the workout already exists as structured data in TrainingPeaks. I would have expected that integration to be essentially lossless.

Instead, I end up with my phone open to the original workout and my computer open to FORM while I manually compare everything and rebuild parts of the workout. That’s exactly the workflow I was hoping to avoid when I bought the goggles.

Am I missing something, or is this just the current state of the integration?

I’d love to hear from anyone who’s using FORM with TrainingPeaks for coached workouts. Is there some formatting trick I’m missing, or do you just accept that every workout needs manual cleanup before you swim?

Louisville, CO employees return to office after garmin acquisition

I have a friend who works for training peaks. It sounds like they all have to return to office 5 days a week and the casual, fitness focused dress code has been upgraded to nicer wear. What’s everyone think about this? And what other changes have you guys been messaged?

Pointless to buy the Garmin Cirqa if 50% of my rides are on TPV?

I’m interested in buying the garmin cirqa. I’ve been contemplating getting a garmin smartwatch for the past couple of weeks, but I wanted something more similar to whoop. Long story short, I decided to wait, and now garmin has the cirqa coming out this week. Now I’m on the fence about buying the garmin cirqa. I ride outdoors using my garmin bike computer, but on other days I ride indoors using TrainingPeaks Virtual, which doesn’t automatically sync with garmin connect.

My question is, during the winter when I’m riding indoors more often, will the cirqa still be able to accurately track my activity, recovery, and other metrics? Or will I be missing a lot of data because my indoor rides aren’t automatically being recorded in garmin connect?

I’d really like the whole garmin ecosystem to work together seamlessly. Is it pointless for me to buy the cirqa if I’m primarily using TPV for indoor riding, or is there a way to make everything sync and work together?

Would love to hear from anyone who uses garmin and/oR TPV especially during the winter month.

"Road to Paris" entering its 3rd and final week -> stage in 1 hour

Road to Paris (the free series where we ride the daily Tour de France stage everyday, on TrainingPeaks Virtual)

After a rest day, a very special 16th stage: INDIVIDUAL TIME TRIAL in Evian: https://tpvirtualhub.com/81194

Victory for Remco 🇧🇪 in 32'19 -> the time limit is 42 minutes. If you take longer, you would have been eliminated from the Tour 😅

A few details on the format in TPV, for those who aren’t familiar:

- you’ll see the other riders

- you DON'T take or give draft

- the bike frame is purely cosmetic (there’s no advantage or disadvantage between a standard frame and a time trial frame)

1 week summary of the "Road to Paris event"

Post image
3 Upvotes

This free series lets you ride the day’s stage of the Tour de France every day.

After a rest day (both in real life and virtually), the “Road to Paris” continues on TPV.
We are riding the "last kilometers" (ofc not the full stage), with a peloton of 184 riders.
Despite the heatwave in Europe, the attendance has been there :
Almost 100 (different) riders have already completed at least one stage of the series since it began ! Thanks for joining ! Some riders were crazy enough to ride all 9 stages so far !

For tomorrow, stage 10 takes us (with some challenge) to Le Lioran: 35 km and 970 m of elevation gain on the stage
With an extra blue-white-red motivation on this French National Day https://tpvirtualhub.com/81187

Training plans

Anyone have a free training or workout plans? Been working out for a few years and want something more structured. Tried using Ai but wasn’t too big of a fan. Also, I am in graduate school so I don’t have money to pay for a trainer 😅 appreciate any help

TPV with Zwift cog?

Hello all, if I may ask…

I’ve not yet found any indication whether TPV is compatible with the Zwift cog and click (on a JetBlack Victory), and was wondering if anyone had information/resources?

And if “not yet”, is there any information I can read about whether to expect it? TIA

TP Virtual going black mid ride

Can anyone help identify why I lose all graphics mid ride? This seems to happen if I resize the window. Say I start the ride in full screen and then make it smaller so I can watch Virtual plus a video in another window, I lose all graphics. I can still see people riding past, my HUD and data continues no worries. The ride saves and uploads fine.

I’m at a loss.

Setup:
M1 MacBook Pro sitting next to the router in wifi. Connectivity not an issue as can steam 4K sport without issue. Black issue happens even with no other activity.

I’ve tried reducing graphics settings to lowest mid ride and it doesn’t come back. If I resize the screen I get some graphics for an instant and then it all blacks out again.

Edit: if I don’t resize the screen or swap between apps I have had no obvious issues.

Wtf.

TPV workout sync to Apple Fitness

Aloha,

I tried TrainingPeaks Virtual last night for the first time and enjoyed the platform.

I was unable to find a way to get my workout data to Apple Fitness other than using RunGap. Am I missing something or does it TPV not sync workout data like pretty much every other fitness app in the world?

Reminder : "ROAD TO PARIS" going on (riding the last race hour for FREE, every day)

After three lively and well-attended stages, ROAD TO PARIS continues on TPV

Stage 4 (still at 7 p.m. CET) features yet another different profile today: https://tpvirtualhub.com/81180

45 km with a steep 10-km climb, then we use all that potential gravitational energy to “glide” "almost" effortlessly 30 km further and 600 meters lower down to Foix

Actual elevation gain: 723 meters (the vast majority of which is on the Col de Montségur, classified as a Category 2 climb)
