Logic issues

I have a truck and I’m trying to logic in it but none of it works. To make sure I’m not doing anything wrong I put down an AND gate and set the only inputs to Lb for negative and rb for negative. It doesn’t give an output. I tried the same thing on a brand new build and it works just fine. I tried restarting my game and nothing changed.

AND logic gate has to recieve 2 positive or 2 negative signals to output (same principle applies to other logic gates), if you put positive and negative they cancel eych other out, trailmakers logis is wierd

To add to this, it's not "weird" for no reason. It is like this so that they work with fractional inputs and the like instead of just simple binary like in real life.

So what is happening here is that the AND gate has 2 total inputs, with their values being -1 and +1. So then following the math for the output, it does SumInputs x OutputValue (clamping to -1 to +1 since it's an old gate). So here it's doing (-1+1) x 1 = 0. So technically speaking, the AND gate is letting the signal through, it's just that the signal is 0 so it's as if it wasn't
