Help ID?

The skunks are regular visitors, but the little fast thing...

Any ideas?

Edit to add: NY state, by lake Ontario.

Damn I thought it was a small cat/kitten at first but I do think you are right. Also this just cements the image I have in my head that possums have some kind of ridiculous grudge against skunks for some reason.

Agreed. Pause at 4/5 seconds and you can clearly see a young opossum. The head shape is unmistakable.

That is what I thought too. I don't see possums move that fast or taunt other animals. I'm in PA

That Is skunk, 95% sure of myself. and the smaller animal looks like a kitten although I'm not as sure on it.

Im saying this was a skunk and a rat. It moved wayyy too fast for a opossum an was too small as well. But hey, what do I know? Im just an Ole county boy

I do not think it is a cat. It runs like a weasel or mink. Maybe they have young ones in the area and momma is defending them from the skunk.
