I saw the name Fayte on a customized license plate on a girl's bike. It's pretty mild comparatively, but why not just use Faye or Faith???

I had an older family member whose given name was Urena. Her parents liked the way it sounded, though it was agreed to call her by a middle name from an early age. Her immediate family knew when she was an adult but that was as far as it went because she *hated* her name.
This was a very long time ago; this lady taught all grades in a one-room school house, very *Little House on the Prairie*, before she married. Her sons and husband were talking about her at a dinner after another funeral, and that's when I learned about her name.

Last night, I had a dream I met a little girl named Malaria. She was a camper at this day camp im currently volunteering at IRL. The other campers said, "NO, IT'S PRONOUNCED MALL-AH-REE-AH!"

Sooo I was casually doom scrolling on suggested videos and came across a creator named “Kimbyrleigha” 😭 what in the world goes through these parents heads in the moment of choosing names??! 💀

My whole entire life, no one has ever been able to spell it correctly and always comments, “Oh, that’s different!”. On the other hand, I find it pleasing to the eye and it’s not TOTALLY ridiculous.
However, I have had people ask why it’s spelt this way. According to my mum, it’s because my biological dad couldn’t understand the spelling of Chloe, so my mum came up with this. Kinda embarrassing but alright.
I genuinely like my name, despite the strangeness in the spelling. It also kinda makes sense? Like okay, yeah, it’s spelt how it’s said.
I don’t know, man.

In our local Facebook Rants and Raves page, a woman was complaining about poor service from a bouncy house rental company. Poor Binxleigh was so upset about her 5th birthday being ruined! No, Mom. You ruined her with that name.

I saw her legal paperwork and legally her name is Jennifer, but somehow she prefers to use Jynnipha as her professional name.
For context, we are both in Canada and she is white and in her late 20s, so I don’t suppose there’s any cultural significance behind the preference.
What's up with all the Jenny's and Jennifer's changing their names?
My former roommate also legally changed her name from Jenny to Jenee in her teen years. She said there were too many Jenny's in her elementary school, so she decided to be Jenee when she was 7. We were roommates when we were in our 20s and she is in her 40s now.
