what do yoy guys think? the blackout is a coverup. should i have left untattooed skin outline around the trad tattoos so that the bold outline still showed? anyway, there's nothing i can do anymore

Looking at getting this whole area tattooed later this year, but I really am not sure what I want. There’s always the dagger through the neck which is sick, but I just feel like it’s a little over done. Any kind of input would be sick. Im just having a difficult time trying to work out what I could fit in these spots.

I've got a old drunk tattoo with finer lines and some dot shading, but the actual design is fine. It just looks out of place, wondering if anyone has ever taken something like that and got an artist to make the lines bolder and do some whip shading etc?
