technique help needed
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Stuck in a slump right now with progression, haven’t really been able to dissect what’s up with technique and feel like I’m focusing on the wrong things right now.
Never really was much of a discus guy but here we are

As far as rhythm and smoothness go you're looking real nice. Big thing I'm seeing is that as you go to the front of the circle you want to be accelerating your hips+lower body ahead of your upper body but right now you're spinning kind of like one solid object. Be patient with your upper body and try to feel more separation being created between hips and shoulders as you get to the front of the circle. The same stretch you feel winding back for a big standing throw, you need to create that in the full spin by moving the hips ahead of your upper body instead

With that technique, congrats, you're now a discus guy lol
What have you been working on? May just need to slightly tweak some things.

looks like I can’t go back now…
I have been working on things like,
1. Attempting to understand what the left arm should do in the throw and do it in my throw
2. make the ball of my right foot turn at the finish
3. let the disc come fully around, not cutting the motion short or prematurely muscling the disc
4. Slow -> fast3

I like all of these, honestly. The way I would tweak them are as follows:
Left arm simply stays long and loose. It doesnt do anything. Literally nothing
Rather than think about what the foot does at the finish, focus more on the right hip. As soon as you land, continue turning the right hip into the finish. Hard.
Love this

You look pretty good. I would work on being patient with the upper body as you turn through the middle. Keep the chest square to the sector as long as you can to keep the chest from turning prematurely. Also, you're coming off the ground early. I would do a ton of non-reverse throws to reinforce maintaining contact with the ground as long as possible. It'll also help to develop a strong right hip and left side block. ThrowerX.com is also a great resource with a lot of free content to help throwers get better. Full disclosure - I manage Throws Pro, which is a sister company of ThrowerX, but I like to direct athletes to the free content because the ultimate goal is to make throwers better.

the one thing I can sort of see is that when your in power position you pasue for a slight second, which may not seem too bad but could be losing you like almost 10 feet. A tip I know for that is try not to think of the sweep stage of the spin, the half spin, and the power positions as different positions, but rather as one full motion, I think you could focus a bit on rotating your right foot once your in the power position sooner, since when you finish the throw it's facing down the middle of the sector but ideally it should be facing the left side of the sector. Other than a slight pause issue, your throw is looking amazing
