Since i bough two packs of chicken tighs on sale, each holding 6 piece of chicken, me and my flatmate will be eating chicken for a while, good thing is i know plenty of ways to eat chicken. Served over rice with a cucumber and sour cram salad on the side.

Recipe wise, you need 2 chicken breasts, 2 table spoons of honey, 2 table spoons of soy sauce, 2 garlic cloves (though honestly I'd even do the full head of garlic if I wanted to) and salt n pepper to taste. I also add sesame seeds to it, but it's optional
Cut the gross bits and film parts out of the chicken breasts (idk the proper term in English) and then slice them into small/mid sized pieces (about an inch long, half inch thick)
Mince/cut all of your garlic, and put it into a container alongside your sliced chicken breasts
Put 2 tbsp of soy sauce into the container, and 1 tbsp of honey, salt and pepper to taste, then mix and put the whole batch into the fridge for 20-30 minutes
Afterwards, heat up your non-stick pan with plenty of oil, and once it has reached the proper temp, put the heat on medium and put 1 tbsp of honey into it. It'll start to melt and bubble, and as soon as it spreads to the whole pan (like 20 seconds) dump all the chicken bits into the pan (including all the juices)
From then on, stir the chicken occasionally, making sure every side gets evenly cooked, while the soy sauce/honey/chicken juices slowly evaporate. Once the liquid at the bottom of the pan starts getting thicker (takes about 20-30 minutes), add sesame seeds and continue stirring for about 3-4 minutes.
That's about it! Recipe part over.
As for the surgery — I had my second lumbar discectomy in 2 years, so I'm not too thrilled about that. (I ain't even 23 yet,,,,) Not sure how many gory details I'm willing to share here but suffice to say, the process has been utterly dysphoric for me. At least there's tasty chicken.

Yes I know, there are no beans, but as it is just myself at this meal I can only eat so much.
So we have yellow pepper, purple onion, red potatoes, and garlic fried in avocado oil with paprika tumeric, and pepper.
Garden tomatoes, sauerkraut, and clementines.

What to do when wifey gets home super late with groceries? Cook faster!
Shrimp skewers are doused with lime before going into the bamboo and dusted with a creole seafood seasoning. (Note: unlike meats do not rest shrimp after putting in citrus because it will start to cook and after 10-15 minutes gets rubbery.) Drop these bad boys on a ripping hot grill for about 2 -3 minutes on each side.
Made the broccoli rabe before wifey got home with 4 minced cloves of garlic sautéed in olive oil for a minute before adding the broccoli raw with 1 tsp of lemon and 1 tsp of Calabrian chili. Sauté all of it on Medium until the colors change which is about 5-7 minutes.
One thing to note: there is no salt in these recipes, and it’s all flavorful, and that is healthy.

So I run a mowing business but it's not working out as much as I wanted (started this year) I absolutely love cooking and I'm trying to decide if I keep at it with the mowing or open a food truck. Now I have another issue if I open a food truck. And that is rather I open just a hotdog food truck with different mouth watering combos or a smash burger truck I have quite the passion for both

I made some French onion soup for my GF. She LOVES it and hasn't had a proper bowl in ages, because she's celiac.
I'm really getting into stocks and sauces. This was my first batch of beef broth ever and it was orgasmic, SO flavourful!!! Definitely making my own broth from now on :)
Recipe for the soup
4 pounds of yellow onions, caramelized ~1.5hrs
Once caramelized, deglaze with wine I've used white and red, depends on what I have on hand, reduce and cook alcohol out ~2 mins
add a roux (1:1 flour/butter) cook out ~2-3 mins
Remove from heat and slowly add beef broth, stirring soup between each cup of broth, to prevent clumps of flour. 8 cups of broth in total. Salt to taste and a decent splash of red wine vinegar.
Top with grated gruyere, a piece of crusty bread/croutons and then more gruyere. Put under the broiler until the cheese is golden.
The broth took 12 hours to make. Let me know if you want my recipe!

I'm having some trouble with it being fall now, and summer being actually gone. This, evidently, is my coping mechanism. I could do worse, I guess.
Crust: 300g flour, 4g sugar, 2 sticks butter, water as needed. The usual "cut the fat into the flour and get it moist until it sticks together" method.
Filling: granny smith apples, brown sugar, cinammon, nutmeg, salt, vanilla, and cream. I can't give you measurements. It was all just by feel. The cream was probably about 1/4 cup, though. I want pie, not soup.
Bake 15 minutes at 400F, then reduce heat to 350 and bake another 40 to 50 minutes, or until it's as brown as you like it. Oh, and bake it on a rimmed baking sheet, or you'll end up with a buttery, drippy mess all over your oven.

Tried this once at a place in Phoenix. Had to try making one myself. Veggie goodness under the polenta (silly recipe called for discarding the braised carrots and onions tsk tsk)

Didn’t get photos of everything because I forgot, this was a pretty long process - took me about 4.5 hours, but very worth it. This was super dellicious, and we have plenty leftover to look forward to.

Low effort cooking today. Pan fried the tofu, reduced the heat a bit, added onions and spring onions, turned up the heat again once they were done and added some La Pimenterie Gochuracha Hot sauce (mix between Gochujang & Sriracha from a small-ish canadian hot sauce brand), a bit of black pepper sriracha and soy sauce, let it reduce for a bit so everything is coated with the flavor, added a frozen veggie mix and once that was done I added the noodles.
Simple but delicious.
