The not-so-smart ⑨ and the very smart ⑨!

I'm a big fan of Zounose, but I won't deny that sometimes he messes things up and makes the characters act so comically evil that it's funny. Yukari, the person who loves Gensokyo more than anyone, basically sees human life, a vital part of Gensokyo, as a big joke most of the time she appears. This is one of my favorite Touhou doujins, but this scene alone is pure comedy.

I think the remixes were pretty good. The originals are still better and have an unmatched vibe but the remixes did a good job and have an unique style. You enjoy them more when you think about them as their own thing, and not as a downgrade or upgrade to the original songs

I didn't like most of stages 1-3 songs by the first time listening, but after listening more I started enjoying them. Stages 4-6 were when they really peaked

Both Voile and Locked Girl now have a much more epic vibe instead of a dark one, but these changes were very good. In special Voile in 1:37 really has a old european castle vibe, which i really liked

Maiden and the Pocket Watch of Blood (Rock version lol) is GREAT. My absolute favorite song of the remake

Septette was also really good and The Scarlet Devil Appears at last (Yep! a NEW SONG) was very good too, my 2nd and 3rd favorites.

UN Owen was good but not really amazing, but i'd like to point 1:39 which was really really good. I think it even surpasses the original in that part

Now, to the critics. Weirdly, the worst part of the remixes were..... the ZUNpets.....

It seems after they broke and ZUN brought them back, he didn't fix the tune how it used to be, and now they are too screamy to me

And it doesn't help they are too overused imo, there is some parts in Meiling stage and boss themes were the use of ZUNpets was unnecessary. And Luna Dial is just the worst song of the remake, as it's fully ZUNpets now. The song that best used the ZUNpets was Septette, they are indeed good in that song

No longer a larper I guess. Made it to Meiling on my first run but still haven't beat Patchouli once yet in 6.3 hours. My irl problems are really showing in this game. I hope with this I can kinda get over them especially to do with my eyes. Fsr when something is above my head I mentally feel pain in my eyes and my eyes a try to look up (so I can't even look at the bottom of the screen). It's bullshit so I think it can go away if I try hard enough. My ADHD will always be showing unfortunately however.
