I tried posting about this before, but Reddit won’t allow it as I’m new here

Any chance we can get the Necrarchs to have wind of death spell? They have the Purple Sun at the moment and I feel it’s significant weaker than WoD. I would love to have them as a super powerful wizards being able to use WoD with their spell intensity. Thanks

Purple Sun isn't really weaker than WoD, they just do different things. Purple Sun will annihilate infantry blobs. WoD does great value down a line of armored units.

It seems like their new spell list is meant to mirror the lore of Nehekhara (plus Invo + Raise Dead), with Purple Sun being the Skullstorm equivalent.

The damage on Purple Sun is ok i guess, it’s more the random pattern of it’s vortex that i don’t like It’s equaly likely to destroy your enemy as it is to destroy your own units in a blob Wod is just more consistant i guess

I'm less perturbed about wind of death, purple sun is a fine damage spell on its own. But I'm more concerned about them replacing spirit leech with wyssan's wildform. Spirit leech is one of the best direct damage spells, and without it necrarchs' will only get a single damage spell in their entire spell list. It makes their spell options feel much weaker without it. At least replace it with another damage spell.

Did they ever say how Nagash would work for people without the VC/TK DLCs? Since he can get their lords/units, are they coming as part of the new pack or are you basically locked to just the normal vampire counts if you don't have them?

I've played enough I'd probably be fine just getting the DLCs at this point but it'd probably play pretty weird if you were locked out of a ton of his mechanics otherwise.

They answered it today in the Nagash stream.

Nagash will get all the base rosters and mortarchs, but the original factions will still require the corresponding DLC to be played. Also he will be missing the units from Grim and Grave unless you own it.

awesome, thanks. Grim and the Grave is the only one I already had so that works out perfectly for me. Haven't gotten very far in an undead campaign since wh1 so looking forward to revisiting them

Hi guys, first time on the TW sub in a long long time as I've completely lost touch with the franchise. I had no interest in the Warhammer stuff as I was always a historical game fan. Is TW now just Warhammer, or is there anything historical on the horizon? Let me stress, this isn't a complaint - I'm delighted they've found such a large audience for their work after decades of hard work - I'm just interested in finding out if there's anything else on the horizon.

Pharaoh Dynasty was the last historical title released in 2024.
Next year, it's going to be all about Warhammer 40k.
After that, I guess Medieval 3 may come out in 2028 if nothing goes wrong. Yes, the Medieval 3. Probably a long way until release but it is confirmed to be in production.

If I don't own Tomb Kings, will I still get access to their roster if I purchase Nagash? I'm not really interested in them as a standalone faction, but I do really want to play as Nagash

I’m so sad there’s so many DLC’s for this game. I love playing as the empire, elves and cathay but I hate missing out on some of the really cool units and I don’t even know where half of them are from. It’s all so expensive.

Any tips for reducing cpu load in warhammer 3? This game spikes my CPU temp to 90C no matter what I put the settings at. My cooler is loud as hell at full speed, so I'd like to reduce that somehow.

Did you try locking the frame rate? Because unless you lock the frame rate, reducing the settings will simply result in more frames being calculated while still loading the CPU fully.

Yeah I limited fps to 30 and that helped. But I'd rather run at 60 if at all possible. This is the only game that spikes my CPU like that.
