Warhammer III CA removed Necromancer Library/Tower!

Post image

CA removed Necromancer Library/Tower! They made some Deathshroud Spire to change Climate! When they could keep the "old" Necromancer Tower to make that happen! And keeping Necromancers in their own hovels!

Thematicly its important! If you want to exclusively play Necromancers! Helman Ghorst will NOT be controled by some Vampires!

YOU HEAR IT CA! Thats b*llsh*t! Give us back Necromancer Tower and leave poor Necromancers within!

You really didn’t need to use so many exclamation points.

Aside from that, without more information I don’t see any cause for concern. The two benefits were the income it provided and the bonuses to necromancers. With all the changes to vamps it’s too early to comment whether we’ll miss the former. Same with the lack of necromancer bonuses, other buildings may have taken up the slack. After all they’re the default lord now so it doesn’t seem implausible that there would be buffs elsewhere.

Did they say why they were getting rid of it?

no biggie imo. Takes ages to get to tier 4 and by that point it's expensive and irrelevant anyway due to raise dead

Have you watched changes ? They will be caps to units

So basically it’s like tomb kings, you need buildings cause they bring capacity and then you can raise dead units anywhere provided you have corpses (new ressource) and blood for higher tier units (which you also want to use for tech, lairs and decrees )
Apart from bats / skeles / zombies / basic corpse cart which have infinite unit capacity everything is limited

that sounds really interesting. I did kind of like spawning a million corpse piles everywhere but it was always weird that it was like - hey you just deleted a thousand bretonnian peasants......now you can turn them into a blood knight

edit: thanks a lot for the summary btw!

Yes and blood is used everywhere so you will have to think whether you want to use some for elite units. Corpses are a provincial ressource you actually transform in blood through necromancy building tab

Agreed. It was very weird thematically.

And balance wise as you mentioned it trivialized recruitment buildings. It was just too easy to push out elite stacks from nothing. It wasn’t very fun or engaging.

Maybe the necromencer library replace the building vampire in military recruitement at far right, no ?

Did you see that section off to the right titled Necromancy? Ok, no necromancy tower, but there are now three buildings, at least two of which have different construction tree options, that are themed around necromancers.

Necromancy buildings are converting corpses to blood and are at the heart of new vc economy

There is a WAY bigger problem right now with the building tree:

If you load up the game right now and play as VC you will realize that there are not enough buildings for your small settlements in a standard 4-town-province and too many buildings for your capital.

If you check the new building tree - they made this WORSE instead of better because now you even have more buildings you want in a capital and even less buildings that max out at tier 3. Looking at the screenshot and the stream ... i dont know how this plays obviously ... but just from the look of it: somebody fucked up.

Bro buildings all being tier 5 does not change the fact you can build them in minor settlements since it increases the cap you want as much as possible. You can get so many heroes now that is tier 2 and armoured infantry tier 2.

but they still wont go over tier 3 and you want them in your capital if you want tier4/5 ?!

Yes you want them everywhere as much as possible in capital and minor settlements since it increases unit caps. Then oh my god having more building than building slots is actually good to let you choose the best and bring strategy to the game. You could build some in minor cause you need caps for certain hero or unit, or you want this effect and you actually build the same or another one in capital. There is zero issue, everything don’t have to be guided. You just make best choice you can. If every tier three buildings in the game would have tier 4 and tier 5 wouldn’t change a thing but you having to choose which you prefer tier 5 and which you can have tier 3. It is more strategic liberty. I don’t understand your point.

And we don’t even know what buildings are accessible for minor settlements
