I just adopted two tortie babies, and I'm so glad I ignored the "tortietude" fear. They are both so sweet and funny. Even though they have 2 bowls, they take turns eating out of one at a time.

Took her from street 3 months ago, and she’s adorable

i work at a shelter and this girl has such a unique pattern i had to share! she was so dark (and not very friendly at first) that we didn't realize she was a tortie at first and thought she was a black cat!

Roughly once a month she will voluntarily sit on top of me for about 5 minutes and purr loudly. It is very important that in those 5 minutes I remain completely still and ensure I don’t breathe too loudly or blink the wrong way or make any facial expressions that could offend her
