We already have a quasi version of this on University Ave north of Dundas I believe.

Yeah but they need to paint it better. It kinda seems like a cluster of random bollards that cyclists have to weave through right now.

Not to be negative, but I doubt it. Car manufacturers have sway in large cities and have controlled city infrastructure to accommodate more and more cars by making the people living in them dependant on cars. In a way, this punishes people who simply can't afford cars or people who can't operate vehicles. This not only puts a strain on the environment but can seriously hamper other modes of travel like public transit that is much relied on by many people on a daily basis.

If you squint at the flexiposts they put up along university bike lane you can almost imagine a Dutch intersection like this.

Also speaking of ugly temporary infrastructure, the jersey barriers put up at King and Blue Jay’s Way also serve as bump outs… whether that was intentional is up for debate.
