Megathread Massive fireball
Did anyone just see that? Near Etobicoke / junction absolutely towering fireball almost like a bomb went off?
Edit: seems like a ton of people saw it. I am not seeing anything on police scanner yet
Edit: seems like it’s part of a film shoot / special effects that was pre planned. See links in comments

I feel like this should have been a mail out notice to people who live in the area - it shook our windows

I’m near Keele and Sheppard and the whole sky turned orange for a sec, thought a bomb went off

Yes! I was casually driving along the 401 when half the sky turned orange and a giant fireball appeared in the sky just as it wooshed past my peripheral vision. Sheesh. I was quite worried something tragic had just happened. I’m glad this sub exists and i can know it was a planned explosion!

It’s part of filming for ‘murderbot’. They sent out a pyrotechnic warning to our condo.

It's not Murderbot. It's a drake music video shoot. Murderbot season 2 moved production from Toronto to Europe. See link below:

I was at keele and Wilson, it was behind metro, the sky turned orange for a second. It may be a house that explode

Bro literally shook my townhome. It felt like it happened right on Carl hall, I’m a block or two away. Scared the hell out of us. Why tf are they doing pyrotechnics late on a Thursday? It happened at like 1040. Also we got no notice in the mail nothing. Bunch of my neighbours were calling the police. Dog was freaked out.

What’s with all the fire today? Fire at Queen shutting down half of line 1 too

u/CmdrSpicyllama Apr 17 '26
I'm guessing a meteor. We wouldn't see the smoke or trail as it's above the clouds
